If theres one available, Hoyer needs to get a RH bat that can play both OF and 1B, Busch needs a couple days off, and OF so they can sit Happ against some LHers. -
Probably not but if you go by reporters rumors he was a guy they were very interested in 🤷 Which is why I never read into these rumors much
-
Peralta going to the Rays Another one off the list Cubs been needing pitching help since forever, Hoyer gonna wait to get the cheapest deal with whomever left an hour before deadline ends. 🙄🙄🙄

Figure out a way to get some runs today and win the series -
Yea, but i kinda doubt Milwaukee will stay ahead of the Dodgers now 🤷
-
I agree, why i never counted on Skubal. He'll get whomever wont cost him one of his top 3-5 hitting prospects
-
Theyll probably hold him til Friday to face Arizona, give him the extra rest
-
I think Skubal definitely wanted to go there..lol
-
Question now for Hoyer is how serious does he get on Monday? 50 games left , 7 back of the Brewers Is he gonna unload his best prospect to get to the playoffs, and prepare to face the Dodgers in divisional round, or does he do the minimum to get an arm or two and be happy to get there.

The Chicago White Sox acquired starting pitcher Luis Castillo from the Seattle Mariners on August 1, 2026, in exchange for reliever Seranthony Domínguez, outfielder Nolan Jones, and catching prospect Boston Smith.

Hes the type of guy this lineup needs, hes not flashy but he does little things that keeps it moving, finds ways to get on base, can steal, runs the bases well, and he has a decent glove.
-
These guys need to work on sliding to stay on the bag
-

AJ and Wainwright, they both hate the Cubs and it shows

WoW Nico... Last guy you'd think hit one out today, right down the line
-
Getting good pitching and the bats go dead.. Dodgers will probably destroy them, looking at 6 Ls in a row if they don't wake up
