Fangraph shows the whole 9 mil that the Cubs pay. They are slightly under the 237 mil cap as of now.

A contending team will likely claim him, even if he's going to be just used as a 7th/8th inning guy. -

I hope he gets better but if they have an opportunity to upgrade over him after he been doing nothing since July 1st, I hope they make the move. Nothing wrong with having him on the bench for DH/1B/3B
