  1. Sometimes I wonder if they're wild in the bullpen when warming up, especially when they come out missing badly. Bullpen coach should be like are you sure, he's been all over the place warming up.lol
  2. Didn't realize Taillon has been that bad too.. Both these guys will need the bats to put up runs with every start in order to have a chance in their games. With Hendricks, I hope they're still in playoff contention come September and more so the second week of, I just think it'll be his spot that'll get filled in by one of the younger prospects the final weeks of season to get them more experience for next season.
  3. Wonder how many SB would of been taken away from guys like Henderson, Brock, Raines, etc if they had replay back then. Especially with the leg and or butt popping up off the base on the slide
  4. Parades can probably use a couple days off to get out of his own head.
  5. Same, little league HR for me is more with errors/overthrows.
  6. He my main fear in this rotation, especially if the offense has trouble putting up runs against whomever pitching against him. Makes me wonder if he'll be the odd man out in rotation come September and Brown and or Wicks is ready to go.
  7. PCA can fly, he got to 2B and turned it up another gear
  8. Luis Vazquez was recalled to replace Bote on roster.
  9. If they can go 7 and 2 and can be within 3 games of a WC spot jumpinga couple teams, then September will be interesting. The offense needs to start being more consistent for that to happen though.
  10. They're missing alot of those from Swanson this season and the DH spot in order. They can live with PCA being an OB, speed guy at top of order next season if they get the power from Catcher, DH, SS, Corner IFers, and at least one of the Corner OFer.
  11. Cubs claimed pitcher Gavin Hollowell, Designated Bote.. There's a little cost cutting there, wonder if Smyly next. He the last one on roster woth a club option for next year, might snip him later to save some money.
  12. I hope he doesn't but if he continues to not hit the rest of year are we still gonna call it a slump ? In all honestly we have no idea right now what to fully expect out of Paredes. In 2022, in the minimal PT he had he showed he had good power but struggled to hit overall. In 2023, in his first full season, he played very good and with HR power. In 2024, 2nd full season, he started out strong the first 2 months but has really tailed off the last 3 months. Hopefully he finishes strong. What to expect in 2025 is unknown off his first 2 full seasons because he went from being really good to being pretty bad. Hopefully we'll see him being more of the 2023 hitter in 2025 and we can just say 2024 was just a down season for him.
  13. He's been in a 3 month slump though... What exactly is Paredes track record ?
  14. Theyll stick with Amaya but if there's one available, they need to grab a veteran backup that can take over if Amaya goes south. I believe they have a couple good catching prospects, not sure off hand how far away they are now.
  15. I hope he not another Soler 😅
  16. It doesn't matter, my response was to the original poster who mentioned he has 1600 PA, so of course that includes his first 2 seasons. His first 2 seasons of a total of 193 PA which were basically a cup of coffee , he was bad. His 3rd season where he got some playing time with 381 PA he didn't hit much but he did hit 20 HRs out of his 68 hits. His 4th season which was a full one he was very good. This season he started out very good the first two months but he has been pretty bad since. I'd like to see the kid succeed and play as well as he did last season and be the guy at 3B for the next 10 seasons but he looking more like the 2022 hitter the last 3 months then the 2023 hitter. April. 291/358/509/867 7HR May. 299/421/494/915 3HR June 237/304/409/713 3HR July 136/340/309/648 3HR Aug. 136/324/254/478 2HR Hopefully for the cubs sake, he can turn it around the final 30+ games and be more like 2023.
  17. Im starting to think alot of these HP umps blink/close their eyes on alot of pitches and then look to see where catcher's glove is at.
  18. His PA was mentioned, that part of his PA. He hit 20 HR in 2022, other then that he was bad .205 Avg and .304 OBP 1/3 of his hits were homeruns, not a bad thing but...
  19. His first 3 seasons he was bad, he was good last season and first 2 months this season and then went south. So, close to 2/3 of those PA he has been bad
  20. Maybe we'll see Triantos in September
  21. Not sure if they can play at a almost 700 clip to close out season, I'll take just getting and staying over 500 to close out August and then see where they're at come the last 2 weeks of season before I start thinking and hoping for playoffs.
