Yea, outside of a day off here and there, Counsell going to go with his main guys in this final stretch to get them to either a division win or that no.1 WC spot.

I was hoping hed give Suzuki, Happ and PCA a couple days off on this trip to get them a breather before September. Im hoping now they can get on a roll these next couple weeks so they can clinch a playoff spot and positioning before the last homestead so they can get these guys a break before the playoffs

It a possibility that NBC or whomever has the games nationally offer boog a deal and he can get to do more games for them then he did with ESPN. Im sure he would prefer that over staying with the cubs and marquee

Im wondering what going to happen with Boog next season now that ESPN wont be doing baseball anymore. I think we're seeing more of Cohen this year because he might be Boog replacement if Boog decides to sign on with another station to call games.

If the Brewers play 500, cubs would just need to win the last 10 series.

Just looking back, Pitching been awesome for the Cubs over the last 25 games, only giving up more then 4 runs 5 times. Going 14-11 over that span, if the bats weren't struggling they probably have at least 5 more wins. Hopefully the pitching continues and the bats heat up over the final 31 games. 10 series left, (9 3-game, 1 4-game)

5 back, If there's an opportunity for the Cubs to pick up a few games on the Brewers it going to be over the next 10 games. Brewers have 4 against the Dbacks 3 against the BlueJays and 3 against the Phillies Cubs have the Giants Rockies and Braves Let Go
