Agree, only thing I can think of is that they were hoping to keep within striking distance before the series and then take the series to make it a race again but they horsefeathers the bed there, especially with yesterday's embarrassment.
Like I said yesterday, we'll probably start seeing more guys get extra days off now and certain SP pitches limited to get them healthy and rested for the playoffs.
Division is out of reach now, cause it unlikely the Cubs in these final 40 games will play 700 baseball while the Brewers will have to play 300 baseball to catch them.
Main focus now is the WC and holding onto that top spot. 4 team battle for 3 spots, I think the cubs will eventually get their heads out of their assess and start stringing some wins together to make the playoffs, after that who knows.
