  1. Did he break his hand during or after the game yesterday
  2. Hunter Bigge come on up.. Cubs bringing him up Most likely Hendricks going on IL Time to just let all these kids play for next season
  3. I think this may be it for Hendricks, they have guys due to come off the IL, young SPs that should be starting. This season is a loss, so might as well just let the young arms get the experience and try to salvage something positive out of the rest of season.
  4. Seiya threw a few guys out his first year or two
  5. I was out and missed the game, I looked on here and saw just 2 pages, made me think they got blown out. 😅
  6. Unless they're getting a ready bat or minor league SP that can begin the season with them next year, you kinda gotta hold onto one of your better starter that under a reasonable contract for 2 more years.
  7. Suzuki read that ball bad, Happ would of scored easily if Suzuki didn't slow him up
  8. Getting close to the AS break, time to start getting that trade value up if you're on a last place team so you can be moved to a contender.. 😅
  9. If a grown man who can make millions needs to be motivated to get up and play a game of baseball for 3 hours a day, then they need to find another profession.
  10. I've had that thought process alot in the past, I don't think I can recall ever seeing the Cubs or any team really doing it that way. It's usually one way or the other but never really a mix of both which would make sense for middling teams.
  11. I'd like to see them do it kinda like how the Yankees did it when they brought Wettland in to close for a couple seasons with Rivera as setup, then Rivera was their guy and then Chapman came as a setup til he took over. Cubs do have the arms in the system that can close like the guys you mentioned but I'd like to see them ease into it first as setup guys for a season or two first. Maybe they can get a decent guy for 2 yrs instead of 3 or 4
  12. They basically just need that big closer that you can count on, they could add others if they choose but it not necessarily a need
  13. To think we waited how long for this kid to finally be healthy and play up 🙄🙄🤦‍♂️
  14. Theyll probably finish between 3 and 6, especially if they move a couple regulars
  15. Opposing fans are buying up the tickets that cub fans who bought them in March/April are selling now.
  16. Most of them tickets were sold at beginning of season when everyone thought they could be good, I wonder what their actual games attendance is with all the no shows
  17. I'm guessing at some point right after the break they'll be making some trades...
  18. I expected 80 to 85 wins with them running out the same guys, I just figured with Imanaga and Steele together, that they might keep them from having long losing streaks and keep them balanced.
  19. That the sad part, they have 3 guys in Iowa pumping upper 90s and 100 FB and they sit in Iowa 🙄🙄
  20. Couldn't even make it more interesting by getting the tying run to the plate. 🤦‍♂️🙄
  21. Fake 9th inning rally time Question is, will the tying/winning run be on base or at the plate 😅
  22. Just thinking here cause I was looking at the box score, i wonder if theyre hoping to get some interest for Bote by playing favorable matchups with him and limiting his PT while he is up to keep him healthy. Not that they'll get much of anything in return for him, but he could be an add on piece or just to give him an opportunity to play everyday or more to try and get a little value and interest for his pending free agency this offseason.
  23. Wind blowing straight out to left at 15 mph and these knuckleheads can only muster up 1 run and 2 hits thru 5 innings. 🙄🙄🙄🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
