Agree, if Bellinger leaves that 25 mil off the book and they can put towards a Soto offer. Theyll also have Hendricks 16 mil off the book that they can put towards Burnes offer

I expect to see a couple of trades this offseason to upgrade areas. They have a few pieces in the system that they can move, plus if Caissie and Alcantara are ready to come up they have to decide with the current outfielders who to go with. Then you got Shaw and Triantos who are about ready too. Hoyer gonna have money available, a few players he can trade, and prospects ready to come up to upgrade this roster quite a bit.

Wasn't specifically saying this game will cost them. was saying when Assad, Hendricks, and Taillon pitches they would likely need to score 4 plus runs in those games and that msy cost them because the bats aren't exactly reliable enough to do that the rest of the way and that may cost them.

This is what might cost the Cubs a playoff spot the final month. When Hendricks, Taillon, and Assad on the mound, the bats more then likely will need to score 4 or more runs. The bats, it uncertain whether they're gonna have those type of games or not.
