  1. Jon was due for one of these. Sucks it's the day before a double header, but whatever. Rosario and Norwood will need to eat some innings, and Farrell and Chavez will come up tomorrow in their place.
  2. Not a weatherman but looking at the radar it looks like there's a big patch of gross weather out in the burbs right now but once it passes they should mostly be in the clear.
  3. I've liked Chavez since his Oakland days. My assumption has been that we are going to get a front end reliever, probably Britton, and a 3rd tier starter (think Jake Odorizzi). Given Chavez's swingy-ness I wonder if he replaces the starter or if he's going to be one of three guys.
  4. I like him. He sometimes goes on really weird and/or dumb tangents, but generally he's great. It's like 90/10 great to cringeworthy. But aside from JD (we're so spoiled) there's not many guys better than that.
  5. Bryant and Heyward are so horsefeathering good on the bases
  6. Or like when the Nats got Doolittle and Madson in the same deal. One stop shopping to fix the bullpen.
  7. I wonder if Chatwood and Montgomery going the same day indicates that Chatwood is about to lose his spot in in the rotation, or if it's purely because they want those two pitching on a day where they have an extra bullpen arm available.
  8. The source is Steve Phillips though, so let's not jump to conclusions yet. I mean five tweets ago he said this (the Jim here being Jim Bowden)
  9. I have a feeling Josh Hader's twitter account is about to be featured prominently in this thread
  10. Even though it makes October a little tougher the Dodgers getting Manny right before facing the Brewers 7 times in two weeks is awesome.
  11. HOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYY HORSEFEATHERS!
  12. Max Lahair
  13. I really want Max Muncy to pull a Jason Bay
  14. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Lindor was the first guy over to him
  15. I like Bregman a lot, but not today
  16. One of Kyle's dongs, #7 I think, looked a lot like his one on top of the scoreboard against the Cards.
  17. Unfortunate. That means you missed this gem. [tweet] [/tweet]
  18. The Brewers' schedule coming out of the break: 3 vs Dodgers 3 vs Nats 4 @ Giants 4 @ Dodgers 3 vs Rockies 3 vs Padres 3 @ Braves 2 @ Cubs 3 @ Cardinals That is an absolutely brutal schedule for the next month. Getting the Padres in Milwaukee (and arguably the Rockies) is the only breather they get
  19. I don't get too excited about what a guy coming from the PAC 10 does in Low A, but if Hoerner has legit power to go along with all the other positives from his draft scouting report I think he's our best prospect. It wouldn't shock me, Happ's power was way undersold before the draft too.
  20. Willson's getting better at framing IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if an outsized portion of his negative framing really ought to be attributed to Chatwood and Darvish.
  21. Sounds like we're tied to Zach Britton (again). I really the idea. His velocity was down in June (he probably rushed back too fast), but in July he's been throwing 95+ again and has reverted to being amazing. But given the injury and the salary I would imagine the player cost would still be relatively low.
