  1. That's be a good hire for them. Yeah, considering the state of their program. I guess a lot of Purdue fans are high on him and we've offered him our job. I'd rather he go to Colorado. Who do you want for Purdue HC job?
  2. So what is a realistic extension for Cutler if he takes a "hometown discount"? Not sure how much of a discount we're talking about if he didn't go into more details. I know he's supposed to make like 8-8.5 mil next year. I imagine it's a 3-4 years extension after next season. Will it be still 8-9 mil/yr or more like 10-11?
  3. It's better than the "Franklin American Mortgage Company Music City Bowl". And yep... Purdue is gonna get murdered.
  4. It's like the defense forgot how to tackle.
  5. How has Carimi looked at RG today?
  6. Aren't the refs supposed to mark the ball down as soon as he slides? It seems like they're marking it where he ended up.
  7. I'd re-sign Louis but there's no guarantee he'd be ready for the start of the season. I hope they can replace Garza because he's not a good center. My ideal offseason would be a FA LT that is better than Webb and start over him, resign Louis (can't see why not he can't be ready by start of next season as ACL isn't that important for an OL and he can wear a brace) or an OG if he can't, and 2 draft picks (1st or 2nd and then 4th or 5th). Fill in backup OLs after that. Sure it could be as bad as the OL now, but getting a better LT than Webb is a win for me and for Cutler. Regardless of what Bears actually do... with Scott/Rachel/Louis/Spencer (plus Mannelly as well) all being FAs and possibly cutting Garza, they are gonna have to go after OLs this offseason.
  8. http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showpost.php?p=24498374&postcount=696 Wierd. Isn't Escobar above average defensively at SS?
  9. Was then asked to where or who has the most interest and he replied: http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showthread.php?p=24497599#post24497599 Just wondering... what could Cubs get for Barney? I mean can he bring back a healthy Vizcaino type SP or is that too much? I'm having a hard time gauging his trade value*. *EDIT: when it's just him in the deal
  10. Also of course Iowa will accept out of state admissions. They're bringing in more money that way and not to mention bigger enrollment #s which looks good for colleges. Pretty sure most colleges have a little more leeway with out of state admissions (I'm just talking about just undecided/general studies... not specific schools like Architecture or Engineering for example).
  11. There's like one big ten school that's hard to get admission to. depends on what college you're applying to within those schools. Yeah I was going to say... depends on what degree you're going for. For example, Pudue got some schools that's really tough to get into.
  12. WTF??? Is he taunting Kobe there or something? Stern should've suspended him (for like 10 games without pay) on the spot right there.
  13. Seriously... That sounds exactly like my brother. He's one of those guys who like to talk about sports and actually know quite a bit about it, but if that convo turns into anything related SABR/advanced stats/etc, it's like talking to a 2 year old throwing a hissy fit.
  14. At least we still would have the 2012 draft class plus Soler so the Cubs farm system won't be completely worthless.
  15. He'll be the first OL off the bench if Spencer is still hurt. I assume they'll start Webb-Williams-Garza-Carimi-Scott. I'm probably jumping the gun, but I wonder if Carimi plays well at guard -- they might just leave him there. Cutler made some comments along the lines of maybe he's a guard on the Jay Cutler show earlier... If he plays well at G then I'm all for it leaving him there. That means it's one less OL spot to worry about.
  16. When did Bears put him in at G? After Louis got hurt? Yes I didn't see the game, but how did he look there? I hope they don't turn him into Chris Williams 2.0, but just wondering.
  17. When did Bears put him in at G? After Louis got hurt?
  18. List of priorities in the offseason for the Bears??? 1. OL 2. OL 3. OL 4. TE 5. OL 6. Resign Tillman/Melton/etc. Does that sounds about right?
  19. Wonder if Marshall gonna break his own record today?
  20. Are you talking about Wil Myers? If so.... LOL.
  21. You mean "pit bull". Although he has a Staffordshire Terrier and not a pit, but everyone lumps them together (as well as American Staffordshire/Bully/Bull Terrier/American Bulldog/etc).
  22. Just saw that Ray Edwards was released... I hope Bears take a chance and pick him up (I know he sucks this year and has 0 sacks). Why not right? With Shea maybe being out for next week, we could use a little depth at DE. What you guys think?
  23. I'm still trying to figure out why they let Cutler play the rest of the 1st half?
  24. Gonna call a TO or no???
  25. 3 WRs on that side and I'm not sure who he was targeting on that throw...
