  1. Actually, it really bugs me that he's been here for so long and sounds like he does. Why? Because if you've been in the US as long as he, your English should at least be understandable. Never mind that part of your job description is media relations. I find him basically incoherent

  3. Also against the Rockies. That was the second-best Cubs game I've seen live.
  4. Who's glad we got this game in today? Let's get Soriano on a tear with Lee and roll through a couple. Harden makes his return today. Let's welcome him back with a W. http://www.thecubdom.com/pictures/2008/07/RichHarden02.jpg Go Cubs!
  5. I can never keep those two straight. Hooray for not facing Danks for two straight days
  6. ...costing you runs at 2nd
  7. Bad timing for this, my first game thread. Cub apathy is setting in. Big Z, looking as confident about this game as I feel http://cubsfan.files.wordpress.com/2007/02/zambrano.jpg Vs. Gavin Floyd, who isn't important enough to be pictured here. Let's just hope this doesn't happen again http://a323.yahoofs.com/ymg/ept_sports_mlb_experts__28/ept_sports_mlb_experts-227067858-1243460558.jpg?ymOf0UBD2Bi88Upf Go Cubs!
  8. This organization has no class. Wonder if the organization would be more professional if they had Jeff Loria at the helm.
  9. It's the Wild West. Way back in this thread people were complaining that the Cubs don't spend big in LA. I can see why. They are cleaning things up, or so it seems. I'd like to see an international draft. If teams don't want to invest in LA or the Pacific Rim, find and draft top talent so be it, but those that do will spend their pick on a longer term "investment". I think it will be good for both large and small market teams. I agree. This is a lot to be gained by looking in the pacific rim. Though the practice of "hiding" a player bothers me from a moral standpoint, it doesn't keep a great spirit of fair competition, either. If I were an MLB team scout, I'd look elsewhere just to seek out a more level playing field.
  10. That is bizarre. Now I know what my buddy was referring to when he said we should re-structure the recruiting process in Latin America.
  11. Our manager is a silly old man
  12. It's been driving me nuts. lol yeah i had to go back pretty far in the "view my posts" thing to find this thread
  13. btw, I was talking about Ted's 16-PA on-base streak
  14. I don't normally do this, at all...but you're gonna have to pick one of these
  15. Well now I'm sure you're a troll. I'll really miss you and your sig.
  16. 6 Bulls I was in the womb when the Bears did it
  17. Sure it was. They were consistently below league average in team OBP for I think almost every year except 2008 under the Hendry tenure despite having a payroll in the top five NL in that time. This post pretty much proves you didn't read Sully's post
  18. Ugh. So jealous
  19. I see a chance Theriot sneaks on there
  20. I loled about 5 times. The quotes from the other sportwriters were really funny.
  21. NCCubFan just groaned at that one dude
  22. Let's post that in EVERY thread
  23. ok it's not tweesa. welcome back ChuckCubs!
