I agree with you, and I'm sure they're a very fun team to watch. I remember being really jealous of the d-backs the last couple years, waiting for upton, young, reynolds and scherzer to mature/come up. Of course, their total inability to play defense (with the exception of young) has hurt their value quite a bit. There is no doubt the Cubs are getting old, but these teams have had the opportunity to stock their farms because of several consecutive year of underachieving and stocking up draft picks. I don't think the Cubs will have an opportunity to do that for quite some time, and I'm not at all interested in watching them tank for 4 years in a row. Also, in order to run out a group of young players such as the Rockies have, we would almost certainly have to have a change in the front office - doesn't seem like cheap, young talent is in Hendry's repertoire.
