I think it depends on how the Cubs do when DLee gets back and if Prior comes back healthy. If the Cubs play well with everyone back, Dusty will get an extension.
At least you get to watch the game. Out here, FOX showed the Giants game earlier at 10 and isn't showing the later game. Since the game is a "national broadcast", I can't even watch on MLB.TV.
I don't think it would have mattered. The Cubs would have had a runner on second with one out, Dusty would have probably bunted with Glendon anyway and Pierre would have grounded out. We don't get a run that inning even if Jones doesn't get thrown out at third.
Would you have rather had the Cavs play the Heat in the second round? I don't think the Cavs would have done any better against the Heat than they did against the Pistons. Although a LeBron-Wade series would have been highly entertaining.
Not to me, it's not. Perez AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
batting 2nd 18 3 7 1 0 0 8 2 0 1 0.389 0.368 0.444 0.813 Only Neifi can have a lower OBP than BA. ;) how is that possible? Sacrifices So if he sacrifices the at bat doesn't get factored in to the BA but it does to OBP? What about SLG?
I don't have a problem with either interleague play or the DH. I don't think the NL should adopt the DH though because like somebody else said, it makes them different. We just so happen to be in a phase where the AL has the advantage over the NL. Look at the NFL: Super Bowls III - XV the AFC won 11 out of 13. Super Bowls XVI - XXXI the NFC won 15 out of 16. Super Bowls XXXII to XL the AFC has won 7 out of 9. League's go through trends. The teams in the AL are trying to keep up with the Yankees and Red Sox right now and so the good players are going to the AL. The same thing has been seen in the Western Conference for the past few years when the Kobe-Shaq era was in full force. It will turn around all in due time.
Basically they rated Dusty the best baseball player to ever wear number 12 because there were 8 football players on the list and John Stockton. I am by no means an expert on numbers players wear, but I'm sure there has to be at least one other baseball player that wore number 12 that was better than Dusty Baker.
Mariners SHOULD HAVE KNOWN about Beltre being a "contract yr" kind of player. Yet, they still grossly overpaid for Beltre. Now Sexson, his season is a surprise. I agree completely. I also changed the $15.9 mil to the correct value of $25.9 mil.
