  1. Bellhorn is batting for Peavy so he's going to finish with 16 K's.
  2. It's a good thing the NBA playoffs will be starting in a little over 20 minutes so I don't have to watch this disaster.
  3. The Marlins need to get a guy named Fitch. You beat me to the joke.
  4. Yes, they said he felt fine after the Bullpen session. Good.
  5. Wow, we're losing already. This is a surprise.
  6. It's obvious how Dusty configured his lineup. He had to alternate lefties and righties because he probably thinks it's the key to winning games. I may be missing something but I actually like this lineup tonight. I don't really mind the lineup either. I was just trying to use Dusty-logic.
  7. I think everybody agrees that Bonds would have been a surefire first ballot HOFer without steroids. Heck, even if you cut off his career after 1998 - before he started taking steroids - he would most likely have been a HOFer anyway.
  8. The mentioned it on PTI also and Wilbon said something along the lines of "the Cubs stink and what has Baker done to deserve an extention...nothing."
  9. Now that I agree with.
  10. Pierzynski just said that his Zambrano imitation was because he had some family problems this weekend and he promised somebody he would point to the sky for them. As for the family problems, anyone think his wife found out about his philandering on the road?
  11. You have got to be kidding me. I wouldn't mind if we were actually winning but this makes no sense during a losing streak.
  12. It's obvious how Dusty configured his lineup. He had to alternate lefties and righties because he probably thinks it's the key to winning games.
  13. I think that it could be a combination of Murton slumping as well as the coaching staff. If Murton starts to slump, the coaching staff would probably offer suggestions on how to break out of the slump. Apparently those suggestions aren't working yet. Hopefully he'll break out of it.
  14. Absolutely not on Howry and Marshall. They are both solid pitchers and two of the few bright spots on the team this year. Pierre is one thing since he'll be gone after this year if we don't want him back so if we can get something for him then why not.
  15. He sure is That makes it even funnier.
  16. If he was a Cub, yes. But since he isn't he will go on to a multiple Cy Young career. And that's why I'm worried about Wood. I just feel that if we keep him, he'll continue to have arm issues and the Cubs will have wasted money but if we let him go then all of a sudden his arm problems will stop and he'll win a Cy or two.
  17. I'd rather see a DLee that hits like Neifi Perez than Neifi Perez himself. At least Lee would have a chance of improving. That's true but it would still be hard to watch for a little while if he was hitting like Neifi.
  18. Well if he gets the cast off May 31 that gives him 9 days to rehab before June 10. It depends on when he gets the cast off I guess. I hope he makes his goal but I want to see a DLee that can actually hit a ball not a DLee that hits like Neifi Perez.
  19. Just heard it on Baseball Tonight. Has anyone else heard anything on when the cast will come off?
  20. Had to chime in on this. That plan is a no no. Prior ok we are going to keep him but we dont' rely on him. Miller is well known to have "arms flailing" mechanics. Guzman you don't count on as anything more than a #5, and he still has to prove that this year, which he has not as of yet. Z, (#2 pitcher signing), Maddux, Marshall, Prior (then you use those other guys when Prior is not ready to pitch) I'm agreeing with you on the point but I love how you put "when Prior is ready to pitch." This is what we've come to. We just assume he's going to get hurt.
  21. Methinks there was a bit of sarcasm in that. A backhanded complement if you will.
  22. I'm going to assume you're joking.
