    They must have more speed and clog the bases less. They can really catch the ball. And they hustle ALL the time.

    This Zambrano running talk made me think about one thing: Zambrano's triple against St. Louis last year. They still have a highlight of the triple on mlb.com. Just click on 'Top Plays' and click on 'Zambrano RBI triple'.

    In his first start back against the Oakland A's he threw a pitch to Bobby Kielty in the third inning and immediately reacted in a negative way in regards to his arm. The Twins manager and trainer immediately ran out to check on him and Liriano had to be removed. Not good for the Twins.

    Somebody else said this in another thread so while this isn't an original thought, it's worth repeating. Hendry's performance as a GM should give people enough ammunition to use against him without bringing his weight into question. Like bittner77 said, Hendry's weight doesn't have any affect on him doing his job as a GM. And please, spare me the "he goes to eat too often and that distracts him from making competant moves" joke. I'm not a Hendry fan either, but rip his performance and not his physique.

    OH. MY. LORD. I just caught the highlights on SportsCenter. 6 errors? Wow. Anyone know the record for most errors in a game by one team? Also, Mateo running home was HILARIOUS.

    I think that was just the last straw of many. It would be quite ironic if the Raiders traded away a player because of discipline problems. That seems backwards; usually problem players come to the Raiders, not leave them. That's a very good point.

    1907 thru 2005 World Series team W L pct PA W L Chicago Cubs 7710 7689 0.501 13 2 7 I know it says thru 2005 but I just wanted to make sure it was. Becuase if you factored in the Cubs record from 2006, the Cubs record from 1907-today would be 7767-7776 thus giving them a losing record.

    i'm sure his teammates appreciate that last line. Ortiz is right because Jeter doesn't deserve the AL MVP. Where Ortiz is wrong is that he isn't even the MVP of his own team. Manny Ramirez deserves to be the MVP more than Ortiz. That being said, Jermaine Dye is my AL MVP right now.

I hope I'm right, but I have a feeling that only Pagan will be with us next year. Back to your original post... Mabry -- 1 / 750K Blanco -- 1 / 1.5M Ramirez -- 5 / 65 (Cubs) Pierre -- 4 / 36 Wood -- 1 / 3 + incentives (Cubs) Miller -- 1 / 2.5 (Cubs) I definitely wouldn't mind bringing Wood back if that was the deal he signed but I think somebody else (Yankees) will offer him another year and more guaranteed money.

    That's what happens when you park in Al Davis's parking spot. Are you serious? Yes. I thought you were kidding! Way to go Al!!!! I doubt he was deactivated for this but Porter most definitely parked in Al Davis's parking spot the other day.

    What Moss did was not taunting at all. It was a stupid call. I think it was Kornheiser during the Vikings-Redskins game that said sometimes players with a bad reputation don't get the benefit of the doubt from the referees for things they do on the field. Sean Taylor got a 15 yard penalty for I believe a late hit that was a borderline call in the fourth quarter that prologned a Vikings drive and that's when Kornheiser brought it up. Later in the quarter on the Redskins last drive, a Vikings player hit a Redskins player late on a pass that was uncatchable but didn't get a personal foul call on him. I'm not saying Kornheiser is right, but it is definitely something to consider.
