  1. Absolutely.
  2. what went horribly wrong? and yeah, i told you guys that byu was really good. And yet you only put 15 points on them in the ESPN Pick Em game.
  3. Wow. That was great. Thank you for posting that and Jon Stewart is the man. I've always been a fan of his and this makes me that much more of a fan.
  4. I don't feel like reading this whole thread so if this topic has been discussed already, I apologize. Has Lovie Smith said anything about playing/not playing the starters this weekend and, if he's going to play them, for how long? The Bears are only favored by 5 on the road and, considering the Lions are going for the #1 pick, I would think this is a virtual lock if the Bears play their starters the whole game.
  5. difference is BYU players are married and have 3 kids, Miami or Texas plays are single and have 3 kids starting from when they were about 17 Good point.
  6. Right after his interception: "You can't telegraph a pass more than Brady Leaf did right there." Of course not, he's a Leaf. It's what he does best. It's in his blood.
  7. HAHAHA. Quality stats about the BYU team. The announcers said a lot of them have gone on the 2 year morman missions already, about half (I believe) are married and a few have three kids. Not one kid, three kids. I'm going to keep my mouth shut here.
  8. Don't worry, they'll let you down once conference play starts. They'll have to work hard to do so, as they have the easiest Big East schedule you could draw up (no Pitt, no UConn, and two games each against USF and Providence). Sort of a makeup for those years where they were forced by ESPN to play Cuse, Pitt and UConn twice a year. That will just make it all the more agonizing for you to watch. And, as a side note, I say this not as a Notre Dame hater because I'm indifferent to their basketball team, but since your teams have consistently let you down over the past year.
  9. Don't worry, they'll let you down once conference play starts.
  10. The Oregon O-line is horrendous. BYU is only rushing 3 and they're getting a ton of pressure on Leaf.
  11. Brady Leaf, doing his best imitation of his brother, gets sacked twice on the opening drive.
  12. One time, I knocked out Mike Tyson without even touching him.
  13. If Pujols retired today, would he make the HOF? I doubt it because he's only played 6 years now so I don't think he can be called one of the all time greats. If he does this for a couple more years then I would say yes (like Sandy Koufax).
  14. I'll take that as well.
  15. That looks like the best matchup to me as well.
  16. Can't really say I'm disappointed about this loss. The Bulls are hot right now and the game was in Chicago. Hopefully the Lakers can come back and beat Minnesota but this was a bad start to the road trip. I have a feeling that when the Lakers return to LA, Phoenix will have a comfortable lead in the Pacific.
  17. Well, Kobe fouling out should end this thing.
  18. UGH. I have ESPN's realtime scoreboard up. It's pretty bad that Kwame Brown is LA's leading scorer right now.
  19. Hey Jon, since you appear to be watching the game, is Kobe just jacking up a bunch of crappy shots (he is 3-10 right now) or is he just missing his open ones?
  20. It is time.
  21. I think you're wrong. I remember who wore those numbers, but I have to think about it for some. And I've followed the Cubs more closely over the past 25 years than most Cubs fans. The number isn't nearly as important as the name. I think the uproar is silly. I remember the names and not the numbers. I know Sammy is 21 because of the jersey I own but after that, I don't really know any of the old timers' numbers. But I know who Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, etc. are.
  22. I would start Cutler over Hasselbeck and Palmer over E. Manning.
  23. I voted just now, and it showed Manning at 42% of the vote, Grossman at 34. His numbers are definitely better. Manning definitely had a good week too, just not as good as Rex. I'm okay with the Bears being underrated, as long as people shut up when they're the last ones standing in Miami. Eh, in truth, Manning's numbers last night were probably better.. same amount of completions in fewer attempts, 4 TD's to Rex's 2... On the other hand, Rex did have a better yardage total and yards/attempt. Good to see that Rex is slowly catching up, though. He only had 32% earlier. Manning had more yards/attempt. Grossman had more yards/completion.
  24. I mean no ill will towards the Bears but I have to say go Lions this week because they'll likely win the tiebreaker over the Raiders in the race for the #1 pick.
