  1. I think it was safe to say the Chargers were the best team in the AFC before the Colts embarassing performance today. Bleh, whatever. I still hate them, because they've always played one-dimensional football and people have been praising them for years for doing it. The NFL has taken severe measures to get Peyton Manning a Super Bowl ring, and now that window of opportunity is closed. (I'm still suspicious of that call in the playoffs against the Steelers. ) Enough of that noise. The Colts are done, and the world is right again. You have to be able to run the ball and stop the run to be competitive in football. No more 49 touchdown seasons. I feared for a watered down version of arena football after 2004, but thankfully that didn't happen. What's with all the hatred for Peyton Manning? The guy will go down as one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game when he retires. He's the best QB in the game right now (I might give you Tom Brady but that's it). I can understand not liking a team - although in your case, as a Bears fan, this Colts hatred befuddles me - but it's not like Manning has done anything to make somebody hate him like you appear to. He's never been arrested. He's never had any off or on the field issues. He's not a bad teammate and seems to be a genuinely good guy. Like I said, I just don't understand your dislike of the man. Plus he stars in some of the best and funniest commercials to be made in years.
  2. That is just stupid playcalling. Why go with the motion on 4th and inches? What is the logic behind that? You're just asking for somebody to jump. Just line up, snap the ball, do the QB sneak and pick up the first down. That's what you get Bill, an interception.
  3. The lines are too good. That and it's too much of a crapshoot in the NFL now. The combination of the two is lethal.
  4. I'm going to swear off betting on the NFL for the time being. Only basketball for me now.
  5. That was a sick shot.
  6. The Cowboys defense has obviously taken the night off.
  7. Only crappy QB's like Grossman. Great QB's like Romo never have bad games.
  8. They suck a little less now but they still suck. 28-17 New Orleans.
  9. The Cowboys suck.
  10. Cowboys need a TD here. ETA: And Romo almost throws a pick and they settle for a FG, 21-10 Saints.
  11. Bill Parcells current thought: "I @$%#ing hate kickers."
  12. I hate the Cowboys.
  13. The Cowboys were just penalized 15 yards because Bill Parcells threw the challenge flag with less than 2 minutes to go in the half. This has to be one of the stupidest rules in the history of sports.
  14. Stupid worthless Cowboys.
  15. 77 yard TD run for Julius Jones. 7-0 Cowboys and we're off to a good start for the game.
  16. I think it'll be a good game, especially if you like great defenses and incompetent offenses. :) I agree, soccer10k, ASU-Hawaii is going to be a great game. BYU-Oregon is a good game too... people don't know much about BYU but they're a definite top 25 team. Agreed. Not sure how I missed that one.
  17. Crap. Colston is playing.
  18. He's going to put this record way out of reach. He still has 3 games left.
  19. I'll probably watch at least the beginning of most of these, assuming I don't have to work of course, just to see if they're good games. Once they turn to blowouts, I'm out. As for potential good games, the ASU-Hawaii could be a very entertaining and high scoring game.
  20. LT ties the touchdown record.
  21. Arizona is going to beat Seattle. CRAP.
  22. If the clock is running down late in the game and the defense prevents their opponent from hurrying to the line (i.e. holding a guy down on the ground).
  23. On a 3rd and 14 (according to NFL.com PBP) VY rushed up the middle for 39 yards and the TD. YES!!!!
  24. Why can't CBS go over to the Houston-Tennessee game? It's about to go into overtime and I could care less what Shannon Sharpe and Dan Marino have to say. They already cut into the end of the Baltimore-K.C. game as well.
  25. Houston drives down for a FG. 20-20 with just over 2 minutes left. Come on VY. I know I've doubted you but just get me a FG.
