  1. Manning because Cincy's pass defense is horrendous.
  2. Seattle (-10) over San Francisco.
  3. "With the first pick in the 2007 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders select...Brady Quinn."
  4. Those were some sick goals and yeah, magician is the right word. I liked the one where he beat the goalie, then beat two defenders along the goal line before putting it away. My dad told me about the Taylor goal although he didn't say the name. All he said was a guy had a wicked shot from just past the center circle. I love soccer.
  5. http://www.daytondailynews.com/s/content/oh/story/sports/pro/bengals/2006/12/10/ddn121006bendiary.html :| HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
  6. The draft is so deep in WRs that I wouldn't worry about missing out on Calvin Johnson - Jarrett, Ginn and Meachem should all be in the 8-20 range. I hope you're right, but I'm afraid Calvin won't drop below top 10 and if we keep winning, we'll be out of that area. Also, as much as I like Meachem, I doubt he goes above Calvin if Robert decides to leave early. I didn't mention Calvin because I think he's a top-5 pick. Meachem is with the guys like Ginn and Jarrett, I think. I see what you were saying in the post now. Sorry about misunderstanding it. I also doubt Ginn will drop below the top-10 so he's probably ruled out. After those two, with no disrespect for Meachem or Jarrett, I'd just as soon the Titans look at impact ends. The DEs in the draft are not high first round quality but if the Titans settle in around the teens, somebody like Abiamiri from ND or the kid from Purdue (maybe CubColtPacer or some other Big Ten fan can refresh my memory, I think his last name's Spencer) would look real good. Not that I wouldn't be happy with a WR, I just think Ginn and Calvin are a level above Meachem and Jarrett. Jarrett's going to be very good.
  7. That was a sick shot. To make it a little bitter sweet, Chelsea hit two shots off the wood work in extra time. But yeah, that shot was a screamer. I just saw the last 10 minutes of the game. How did Essien not score that goal? He was right there. My dad said it was a very good game.
  8. I can't believe Gagne is getting $6M a year.

  11. He's got a finger up on the competition. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/kanumber08/DSC00621.jpg Wow, I've never actually seen the 6th finger. Wow. I haven't either. Thank you for posting that.
  12. Grossman's a bum. Play Griese. What? I'm a week late? What do you mean he had a decent game this week? No picks? Damn.
  13. Well, there is this article on ESPN.com in which Boras says Matsuzaka is worth $100M.
  14. I think somebody has posted this but it's been a while. As for the actual projections, they obviously think he'll continue to pitch in 2007 like he did post-ASB in 2006.
  15. Those two runs just ensured Benson even less PT than he's already not getting.
  16. Why did Jones have to run for a TD? Doesn't he know he's supposed to suck?
  17. It's hilarious hearing the "Moose" chants in St. Louis.
  18. The most carries Benson has had in a game this year is 14 and that was in a blowout against Buffalo. Jones has had just two games with less than 14 carries this year and only 3 with less than 20 carries. Benson may or may not be better and I obviously haven't watched him as much as most Bears fans probably have but it's the number of carries is what jumps out at me. They just haven't given Benson a shot to get a majority of the carries to see if he can carry the load.
  19. What is UC Davis's OC like? I don't know if we should be talking about this in this thread. :D He's pretty good. We usually have a very good offense. Running backs have been hit or miss for the past few years (and we've had injuries there as well - at one point last year we were starting our fourth string RB) which has made our offense a bit one dimensional at times. The offense in general isn't usually a problem. Next year should be interesting because we're losing our three year starter at QB as well as our top wide WR who is one of the best we've ever had.
  20. No, No, not gonna go that far. Just wanted to make you guys feel a bit better about your offensive coordinator. They both are bad man. From a non Bears fan view, isn't is so obvious how much better Benson is? It's not that one is necessarily better than the other, because I would say that at the very least they're very similar, but what I don't understand What I don't understand is why Jones gets so much more playing time and more carries (247-98) than Benson does. Obviously it's hard to get each the same # of carries week in and week out but one shouldn't have 2.5 times as many carries as the other. I don't think Benson has had the opportunity to prove himself as a featured back yet.
  21. No, No, not gonna go that far. Just wanted to make you guys feel a bit better about your offensive coordinator.
  22. Bears fans, I'll make you a deal. We'll take Ron Turner from you and you can have John Shoop in return.
  23. Well then I expect you to call out anybody who makes any sort of comment about a team other than the Rams and Bears. Drop it. Now. Heed your own advice. Two mods have asked you to drop it. You're about to take a timeout if you don't. I did. I haven't discussed it anymore. I went on to discussing the game, i.e. what the thread is about.
  24. Of course they don't rule it the way you do Theisman. You're an idiot. It doesn't matter how his arm was going forward. It doesn't matter if Grossman made it go forward or if a defender did. Fact is the ball was in his hand when his arm was going forward. That's an incomplete pass. And another point, how do you know at what point the defender made his arm go forward anyway. You can't determine that. Idiot Theisman.
