  1. If Will Ohman never pitches for the Cubs again it will be too soon.
  2. Pat just said nine in a row - did the marlins do all their second inning damage with none out? Yeah, the Marlins in the second had: Olivo singles De Aza doubles, Olivo scores Olsen sac bunt, De Aza to third, 1 down Ramirez sac fly, De Aza scores, 2 down Uggla grounds out., 3 down
  3. I would obviously not be as comfortable as I am now, but I wouldn't be even close to thinking it's over or that the Cubs were gonna blow it. The Reds we'e facing are without Dunn and Griffey, and Harang might even miss his start. The Brewers are facing a Padres team (admittedly also battling some injuries) fighting for their playoff lives. If the Cubs couldn't manage to, at least, win the same amount of games as Milwaukee in that scenario, they wouldn't deserve it anyway. The way I look at it is that, after this game, the Crew is going to be only one and a half games back. When we lose two of three to Cincinnati, the Brewers can win the division outright simply by taking 3 of 4 and they can force a playin game by spliting, which they almost certainly will do. If the Cubs lose this game and 2 of three to the Reds, The Brewers would have to go 4-0 to win outright. Milwaukee going 3-1 would force a 1-game playoff and 2-2 would give the Cubs the division.
  4. No. Just a drunk who doesn't really get along with his teammates.
  5. Somebody get Scott Olsen a bottle of booze immediately because he's clearly not drunk today.
  6. Damn. I was really hoping for a pinch hitter here.
  7. that's very noble, but you're wrong. it was a ball. Except for the fact on WGN they showed a side view of the pitch and it went right across DeRosa's knees.
  8. MLB helping out the Brewers by suspending Yost. Good thing they didn't suspend him for more games.
  9. I would love to get excited about Rammy's 1 out single but I know one of two things is going to happen: 1) The Cubs get nothing this inning or 2) The Cubs score this inning only to have Traschel give it back in the bottom of the third.
  10. But with his grit it seems like it's double that.
  11. I think I'm going to make a pizza in between pitches to Jacobs.
  12. Good job, Jacque. Way to overthrow the cutoff man.
  13. Not if Traschel gets hit hard and only lasts 2 innings.
