  1. Gio rolls through the first two innings and all of a sudden he's at 51 pitches through 3.
  2. That ball didn't look like it would go anywhere close to as far as it did off the bat, especially since the wind is blowing in.
  3. Where the hell did that one miss? Should be out of the inning.
  4. Nice job by Newcastle today. Can't beat Villa and now it's pretty likely they're going down. Sunderland is a point up plus they have a game in hand.
  5. So Dembele gets a 6 match ban for an eye gauge/face scrape but Fellaini only gets 3 for elbowing and smacking Huth in the face? Come on, FA. That's ridiculous.
  6. Most runs by a single team ever in AT&T park is 18, both by the Giants, once in 2000 and the other in 2004. The Dodgers also scored 17 there in 2014.
  7. For people who watch more hockey than me, how is it okay to call goaltender interference when the player gets shoved into the goalie? I'm watching the San Jose-Nashville game and Pavelski got shoved into Rinne and they waived off the game winning goal in OT. They reviewed the play and came up with goalie interference. Pavelski might not have been able to stop anyway, but he definitely got shoved in the back which helped him into Rinne.
  8. The two run homer means the Cubs are only tied for the second best run differential since 1900.
  9. We are more than double them. 98 to 45. I thought CSN had a graphic up that had them at +50 That was before the game.
  10. He was warming up in the eighth. Wouldn't be surprised if Joe was planning on using Wood for Harper and was going to wait a bit to have Rondon warm up.
  11. Yeah, if you can't tell after 90 seconds or so, just leave it as is.
  12. Hell yeah, Strop. Harper comes up with nobody on now.
  13. Joe playing matchups. I bet this will be the only batter he faces.
  14. Yeah, if they call him safe and the Nats challenge, they probably uphold that also.
  15. Did it? I was thinking he was just reacting to the whoosh of air. Like, "whoa, is there a bird landing on me?" maybe. we need a CSI guy to enhance a reflection
  16. I think my favorite part of listening to the couple games on the radio last week was when Coomer was so terrible that Pat would jump in after the play had ended and explain exactly what happened.
  17. Even Spurs were 100-1 to win the title before the year and they would have been a crazy story had they won the title. Yet most people had them as somewhere between the 4th and 6th best team coming into the year. 23 of the 30 MLB teams had odds better than 100-1 and the 4th-6th best were around 12-1.
  18. They're really isn't because of the lack of a postseason. You're betting on a team having the best record rather than winning the title here. Do they put those out for American sports? Like what were the odds of the Braves finishing with the best record this year?
  19. If we're just looking at it odds-wise, it would be a 15 or 16 seed winning the NCAA tournament. Those teams were all at least 2000-1 this year.
  20. For those who didn't see: Javy 1 Javy 2 Javy 3 And somebody mentioned it in the game thread also but all three throws to Rizzo were perfect.
