  1. Losing is not fun. Winning is fun. Do the winning thing again, Cubs.

  10. Cubs lost today but are still in the second wild card spot and can wrap up a series win tomorrow. This appears to be a favorable pitching matchup so hopefully the Cubs take advantage. Last time I started a game thread, the Cubs lost but then won the next six so I'll be willing to sacrifice this game if the same thing happens after the loss again. Go Cubs!
  11. Cubs are in a bit of a slide recently having lost 6 of 8. But they're still over .500 on the year and will remain as such after this game. Bryant homers again and the Cubs knock Garza around for a 7-3 win. Go Cubs!
  12. Matchups are set: 1. Golden State vs. 8. New Orleans 2. Houston vs. 7. Dallas 3. Los Angeles vs. 6. San Antonio 4. Portland vs. 5. Memphis (Memphis has home court) 1. Atlanta vs. 8. Brooklyn 2. Cleveland vs. 7. Boston 3. Chicago vs. 6. Milwaukee 4. Toronto vs. 5. Washington Pretty costly loss for the Spurs today. Had they won, they would have had the 2 seed and a matchup with Dallas in the first round with home court the first two rounds. Instead, they'll probably have to go through LAC, Houston and Golden State to make the final without any home court.
  13. Got our first two Soler dongs of the year on Monday and they were glorious. That's three straight wins, two games over .500 for the first time since 2009 and sole possession of first place for the first time since 2009. We've got another favorable pitching matchup tonight so keep it up. Go Cubs!
  14. Took 9 innings to get a dong on Sunday but it was well worth the wait. Still waiting for the first Wrigley dong of the year. Hopefully that comes in another win on Monday. Cubs also have a chance to go 2 games over .500 for the first time since 2009. Go Cubs!
  15. The Cubs finally graced us with some dongs and gave us a win as well. If they would like to do that again in the series finale, that would be wonderful. Go Cubs!
  16. We are still dongless on the season. Please change that tomorrow, Cubs. But more importantly, just win. Go Cubs!
  17. Good first half for Manziel. 4-9 for 22 yards and 2 INTs.
  18. Starts on Tuesday with Oakland at Kansas City. San Francisco at Pittsburgh on Wednesday. ALDS start Thursday, NLDS start Friday. Go not St. Louis!
  19. Two crappy pitchers so hopefully we'll at least score a few runs in this one.
  20. Fun fact about today's starters: If you remove the decimal point from their respective ERA's, the number is roughly the same as each player's weight. Go Cubs!
  21. I'd like to congratulate the Padres on the two or three wins they'll get this series. Also, only three more days until Edwin pitches again.
