  1. CUBS are 7-1 this postseason when they score a run CUBS are 0-3 this postseason when they don't score a run So we score and we win.
  2. Not that it's a huge deal but it's worth noting that Jansen will also cost a draft pick while Melancon won't since he was traded midseason.
  3. Saving our good relievers for tomorrow, when we'll hopefully be winning.
  4. Yeah, we're going to forget this game when we're up 2-1 going into Saturday and they're throwing Kluber on short rest.
  5. Davis pops out. "Pedro Strop faces two batters, retires them both with a strikeout." Good job, Joe Buck.
  6. Would make a ton of sense but I guess not.. Soler's AB would probably have gone about as well as Russell's.
  7. Thanks for not paying attention, Davis. Javy and Schwarber got lucky.
  8. Please show more stats about how Cleveland never loses games in these situations, FOX. Just keep beating it down like in the Giants series when you kept saying the Cubs pen didn't give up any runs to the Giants.
  9. Please at least make Miller and Allen throw a bunch of pitches tonight.
  10. Whatever. No more posts on the strike zone or people complaining about the strike zone from me.
  11. Bring on robot umps, until they tell me something I don't like. Then I'll trust my eyes, just like the umpires I hate. To be fair, I don't think FOX's K zone and Gameday's are quite on the same page. I don't like FOX's either. I trust Gameday and Brooks a hell of a lot more.
  12. Bring on robot umps, until they tell me something I don't like. Then I'll trust my eyes, just like the umpires I hate. Don't be an idiot Take your own advice.
  13. That wasn't a strike. Ask the guy who watched it on gameday Bring on robot umps, until they tell me something I don't like. Then I'll trust my eyes, just like the umpires I hate.
  14. Sorry I'm not overreacting like the rest of you. Everyone says eff the umpires and bring on robot umps but when you present data from robot umps, it gets ignored or brushed off. I've been following on Gameday also. Go through there and look at the pitches Kluber's getting. They're largely correct. Yes, the ump has missed a couple. But he's missed some that hurt Cleveland also but that gets ignored. That's how it works when you're on a board full of people that want the Cubs to win. I just hate the super overreactionary stuff. It's terrible and annoying when Ski and Rondon Fan do it in the regular season and it's annoying now. I get people are frustrated. I'm frustrated also. But the posts that are suggesting the ump is singlehandedly costing the Cubs the game are ridiculous and wrong. Just because the ump blows a call or two doesn't mean that he's the worst ump ever. And just because he blows one call doesn't mean he's blowing every close pitch. You can't tell what's a strike on the screen because of the angle. People have pointed out in previous games and in this one that FOX's zone on the screen sometimes sucks (like the one where the top of the zone was clearly below the batter's belt). Barely anyone has given Kluber any sort of credit for pitching a great game, which is what he's done. And barely anyone has acknowledged that Lester is a bit off tonight.
  15. Issue: Lester gets borderline (very close) call Kluber gets call 4 inches outside to whiff Bryant Same? http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h184/soccer10k/Bryant.png Which one was called 4 inches outside? Strikes 2 and 5 were both swung at.
  16. You're being a bit of a turd here tonight Sorry I'm not overreacting like the rest of you.
  17. Oh look, Lester got a borderline strike. But nobody will remember that next time Kluber gets one.
  18. horsefeathers brooks baseball Then go through Gameday. The ump has missed a couple but he hasn't been as bad as most here are making it seem. Kluber's dealing, he's hitting every corner and Lester hasn't been.
  19. Brooks has 1 pitch out of the zone for Kluber being called a strike and 2 pitches in the zone that were called balls. Brooks has 1 pitch out of the zone for Lester being called a strike and 3 pitches in the zone that were called balls. And one more for Kluber during the Coghlan AB (the first one) and he's even while Lester is -2.
  20. Right as Smoltz says it's a tough task, Schwarber doubles off the wall.
