  1. Maybe next time someone attack that ball a bit.
  2. Hell of an effort by Pulisic on the goal.
  3. Argentina should be fine. They have at Uruguay, home to Peru, home to Venezuela, at Ecuador. Win the two home games against 8th and 10th gives them 28 points. Ecuador is at Brazil, home to Peru, at Chile and home to Argentina. So they'd have to beat Peru, Argentina and one of Brazil/Chile to get to 29. Paraguay has at Brazil, at Chile, home to Uruguay, at Columbia, home to Venezuela. They're only on 18 so they'd need 4 wins. Netherlands needs to hold serve at home against Sweden and Bulgaria. Do that and they should be fine but they don't have much margin for error. I think conmebol is a two game agreggate for who gets in for 5th and 6th place after qualifying games. So if you describe happens then they would probably still need to maybe get a result at 10,000ft in Ecuador (after getting rolled at altitude v Bolivia). Obviously they should pass chile, Uruguay or Columbia but it doesn't look like they will based on their form. So this is not a dream scenario. Wiki says top 4 qualify automatically and 5th has a playoff with Oceania. So realistically, Argentina would have to go win, loss, draw in their next three matches then lose to Ecuador in the last round to miss out.

  5. Nolan Arenado Kris Bryant, Manny Machado Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, Giancarlo Stanton Nick Castellanos, Justin Bour, Adrian Gonzalez, Francisco Lindor, Kole Calhoun
  6. Well that was a fun game to be at.
  7. Going to the qualifier tonight. I've never been to a USMNT game before so I'm pretty excited.
  8. None of the coaches of those teams have ever even made a Final Four. Coming into today, the only coach on that side of the bracket to make a Final Four was Huggins.
  9. That was an atrocious last possession by WVU. Two long threes when they didn't need one and then couldn't get a shot up with 10 seconds to go.
  10. It's going to be great when Willson guns down 3-4 Cardinals in the opening series.
  11. I thought after going 16-0 on Thursday, that thing were going to go terribly wrong on Friday. As it turns out, I was only off by a day. I'd only lost SMU from my Sweet 16 teams in the first round so I could have gone 15-1 this weekend. Barring a Cincinnati comeback, I'll go 5-11. Lost 4 Elite 8 teams including both of my finalists. Guess I won't have to bother checking my bracket the rest of the tournament.
  12. 30-2 on Thursday and Friday 0-2 today At least I didn't have Nova in the Final Four and this will make things easier for Duke.
  13. 21-0 ended with the USC win.
  14. Spread was Michigan -2.5 for that game also so the garbage 3 at the end flipped the result on that.
  15. I'd forgotten they had the Cubs come out to the Imperial March.
  16. Same here but 16-0 is still 16-0. I'm fully expecting a 9-7 day tomorrow with a Final Four team or a couple Elite 8 teams getting bounced.
  17. Go Ags! Don't even care if Kansas beats us by 50. We get a real tournament game.
  18. So until late April then.
  19. Leicester got lucky in the group stage draw with what was easily the weakest group, then they got a little lucky to miss the best three teams in the Round of 16. There won't be any hiding in the quarterfinals as the weakest team (besides them) is going to be Dortmund/Atletico/Monaco. Just for the fun of it, I hope they get Bayern. Regardless of who they get, it will be cool for their fans to get to see one of the big clubs come to Leicester.
  20. Yeah, definitely at least top-10 for me. I'll never forget the homer or my reaction to it (running around the room shouting "MIGGY!"). And a great call by Buck.
  21. was one of those games in texas at least when sammy hit a dong off us Yep. I can't remember who served it up, but on the very next pitch he also gave up a dong to superstar frank catalanatto. Jason Marquis, in case you were curious.
  22. I'm indifferent on all the foul related ones but I really like the 20 second shot clock for a front court inbounds. Would the shot clock go down to 20 if it's over 20 when they're inbounding (like after a missed shot when the ball goes off the defending team)?
  23. I don't care if they'll get slaughtered by a 1-seed in the first round. UCD is going to the tournament!
  24. I would really love a composite vid of all the dodgers defensive miscues in the NLCS. For all the hemming and hawing about their payroll and its advantages, they've really built themselves a hilariously flawed team. The Cubs probably gained 5 runs in the NLCS and World Series alone from crappy OF defense. Kendrick misplayed that ball, Toles dropped a ball and had a horrible throw or two. Davis got caught flat footed and let Bryant tag up from about 120 feet away, Chisenhall and Naquin let that ball drop between them, I'm probably forgetting others. Had to look up the exact play but I remebered Davis broke in on a Contreras double at one point. It was with 2 outs in the 4th in Game 7 and it drove in the third Cubs run. Ball hit a couple feet up the wall but Davis's first couple steps were in. Would have been a decent catch but if he goes back immediately, he probably gets there.
  25. I definitely slumped in my seat after Davis hit the homer, but felt pretty good after we got out of it still tied (until the bottom of the 9th, when Joe sent Chapman back out and it turned into a roller coaster ride). I would say, and I'm sure others here felt the same, that I felt really good about things coming out of the rain delay. I remember being nervous as hell for the ninth. Told my wife and texted a couple friends that if the Cubs got it to the 10th, they'd win because they had the top of the order up and Miller and Allen were out of the game. They just had to get through the top of Cleveland's order in the ninth. Obviously I was still nervous for the 10th but I felt a hell of a lot better knowing it was Schwarber-KB-Rizzo coming up to hit.
