Actually kind of surprised by this. I get the extra rest, but he's still spending less innings on the mound this way if the series goes 7. Pretty sure the Dodgers are confident there won't be a G7, and/or they're so confident in Hill after last night that they're banking on not needing Kershaw out of the pen anymore. It would also mean if he pitches in Game 6 and the Dodgers win this series, he'd couldn't pitch Game 1 and if they start him in Game 2 it would be on short rest.

I think we're 5-5 against the Dodgers. 3-1 at Wrigley regular season, 1-2 at Dodger stadium regular season, then 1-2 in the playoffs Something something database update. Can't remember what Fred used to say if a number was wrong. It's fixed now though. Thanks.

Their bullpen was shot from going 8.1 on Monday. They couldn't afford back to back pen games. Yeah, they really got hit by that Bauer injury. If he can even go 5 or 6 in Game 3, they could have gone pen day in Game 4.
