  1. Can't say I've ever seen a defender take the ball from one penalty box to the other and score before.
  2. So we've got ... *checks notes* ... Indiana, BYU, Ole Miss, Virginia and Texas Tech all in the top 12. Makes total sense.
  3. Would he have been safe if he had just run through home instead of sliding?
  4. LOL at once in a lifetime as if 2014 Mad Bum didn't happen.
  5. Well that sucks.
  6. Not dead yet. Now no baserunning mistakes like yesterday.
  7. Well crap.
  8. On the plus side for Toronto, they turned the lineup over so Vlad will bat in the 10th.
  9. I'm actually feeling pretty good about it. Either the Blue Jays win, or I likely hit the bet. I guess if Ohtani homers to win the game, but he pitched poorly tonight so he's likely out.
  10. Man, almost two crazy endings there. Foot almost comes off the plate and the Dodgers almost drop the ball colliding with each other.
  11. Man he just missed that.
  12. Vladdy leading off the bottom half.
  13. Unreal. The 9 hitter ties it.
  14. This has been a really fun game.
  15. Ah yes, the immortal Ernie Clement with the most hits ever in a single postseason. And they didn't even play in the WC round either.
  16. Well that home run guarantees Ohtani gets to bat again.
  17. Batter kind of a moron too. Sticks his arm out at a pitch that was high but over the inside of the plate. Then gets mad when he gets hit as if the guy was crazy enough to throw at another player in 3-1 game in Game 7. Just take your base and move on.
  18. If Bichette is healthy that's a run there.
  19. Yeah, I mean, this isn't a catcher having to get his gear on. Get your glove and get out there to warm up.
  20. The Ohtani pitching scenarios in Game 7 are interesting. If they want him to pitch, they basically have to either start him or use him as the closer. If they start him, they can keep him in the game as a DH when they bring a new pitcher in. If they start him as a DH, then bring him in as a reliever, when they take him out, they lose the DH and either lose Ohtani's bat or he has to play in the field.
  21. The Bulls are 5-0 for only the third time ever (95-96 and 96-97). I would have guessed they'd done it 3 or 4 times. As if that wasn't surprising enough, the Spurs are 5-0 for the first time ever. Between 93-94 and 16-17, the Spurs played at a 53 win pace or better (phrased this way due to the two lockout shortened seasons) in 22 of 24 seasons yet somehow never started 5-0. That is wild.
  22. I took a flier on Yamamoto at like 15-1 due to this exact reasoning. Ohtani will probably win, but if he doesn’t do much tomorrow, he really only had the one big game and he didn’t have a great start on the mound either.
  23. Boy that was a rough way to end it. You can’t get doubled off there. I get trying to increase your chances of scoring if the ball drops. But he didn’t even have to dive for the ball. And if the ball drops, it’s in front of the LFer with a short throw so you’re probably not scoring anyway.
  24. I'm not sure we had the pitching. I mean baseball gonna baseball sometimes so you never know. I do think we would have done better than Milwaukee because our offense would have done a better job of getting into their bullpen.
