  1. Pretty entertaining end to their match today too. They were up 7-5, seemed like they made a mistake that allowed Italy to get 3. But then Italy messed up and the US got 2 in the final end to win 9-8. They face Sweden in the final tomorrow.
  2. When you're leading going into the week and have a realistic shot at 6 figures, it makes sense to be a bit disappointed with 25k.
  3. Because they picked a guy who was one of the worst QB's in the league this year (albeit, in his first year starting) over a guy who threw for 4000 yards each of the past two seasons and is only 28.
  4. Yeah, that's a good one. I could see him getting it.
  5. Pretty solid crockpotting by Seattle. Took a while to fully come together but at the end, we have a really, really nice New England blowout loss.
  6. So Walker has to be MVP right? I mean, it's the Seattle defense but they don't give the MVP to an entire unit. Darnold was fine (19-38, 202, 1 TD, no turnovers). Leading receiver is 6-61 but no TDs. Kicker made 5 FGs but the longest one was 41 yards so it's not like he's drilling 55 yarders out there. Walker is at 157 total yards but no TDs.
  7. Okay that should definitely do it.
  8. Yeah, this one is over.
  9. This reminds me of the Houston-Pittsburgh game a couple weeks ago where once Houston got to like 15 it was over. How is NE going to get 2 TD's? Their offense looks completely overmatched.
  10. I know it's not likely, but if each team wants to make exactly one more field goal and nothing else, I wouldn't mind that one bit.
  11. Seattle has been the better team. Just hope they don't regret not getting at least one TD that first half. Easily could be 13-0 or 17-0.
  12. I get the ruling, but I really don't like the overturn of the Man City goal at the end of the game. It's going to be a goal because there's no goalie and the ball went into the goal without another touch. And Haaland would have gotten there had he not been grabbed by Szoboszlai. But because Haaland pulls Szoboszlai back after he gets grabbed, it negates the goal. And because the Szoboszlai foul occurs outside of the penalty area, you can't even say that Haaland should have gone down and taken the penalty kick. Ultimately it didn't matter though.
  13. By no means is this a complement to the Bulls FO, but the Kings do still exist.
  14. Seems like it’s been a pretty active trade deadline so far. AD just got traded to the Wizards.
  15. Benfica’s GKer just scored a 97th minute goal to put them 4-3 up on Real Madrid. That goal moved Benfica up from 25th to 24th which qualifies them for the next round.
  16. How about.... Ray Lewis: first ballot hall of fame Bill Belichick: not first ballot hall of fame Lesson learned: it's better to the NFL HOF voters to be involved in a double murder than it is to cheat a little bit.
  17. I think it might be time to do away with the Pro Bowl. Just name your Pro Bowlers and that’s good enough.
  18. Josh Rosen, Mason Rudolph and Mike White?
  19. So the Rams call a timeout to debate whether or not to challenge the first down. Why not just challenge the first down if you’re going to call the timeout?
  20. Less likely Seattle is going to get a TD since there's less than 5 minutes left. They're not going to have a 15 play drive so they'd have to get some big plays, which considering they're winning, they're less likely to try for. It's only 4th and 4 and you've gained 435 yards today so McVay has faith in his offense. Plus if you don't get it, Seattle is backed up so if you get a stop, you're likely to get better field position than if Seattle takes over at the 30 or 35. EDIT: Not saying it's a cut and dry decision to go for it. But I understand why they would.
  21. Probably not going to make your coach very happy when you get a taunting penalty when it would have been 4th and 12.
  22. If you had told me before the year that Amorim would get fired in January, I would have bet every ManU under. The fact that they're in 4th is pretty crazy. Related, I love soccer journalism: Great win today. They've turned things around from last year. But they're 12 points back, they're closer to Spurs/Palace in 14th/15th than they are to Arsenal and they're 8 points back of Villa/City. It's great that they just beat City and Arsenal in back to back games, but prior to that, they tied Wolves, Burnley and Leeds in 3 straight games.
  23. Not like the NE offense has inspired much confidence in the playoffs. But yeah, Maye is obviously way better than Stidham.
  24. Pretty sure he'll only play right field. He'd prefer far right field, but that's not a position.
