  1. Is it that they’ve actually managed to win a men’s hoops title in the last 20 years and that won’t stand in the Big 10?
  2. As many hits as Covid vaccine shots!
  3. Don't let Molina win it, please.
  4. TOOTBLAN Tony coming through again.
  5. He didn't pitch on Monday. Second straight day. Before yesterday, he pitched on Saturday.
  6. One more HBP, please.
  7. 2 out nobody on in the 9th? Bottom of the order up? Got the Cards right where we want them.
  8. I mean, that inning turned to what it did because of a swinging bunt combined with an error that put a runner on second. I’m not putting that one on Ross. He gave up 3 warning track shots in the 6th. It was obviously the end of the line. I get he’s earned a ton of leash with the run he’s been on, but it was an obvious pinch hit spot in his last AB. The PH spot is a fair criticism. I could go either way on that one.
  9. And would you look at that I mean, that inning turned to what it did because of a swinging bunt combined with an error that put a runner on second. I’m not putting that one on Ross.
  10. Legendary Giannis performance. Only the 7th player with 50 in a Finals game. 17-19 from the line also.
  11. We’re a solid 8 on the fake rally scale right now.
  12. Isn’t it fun how the sample sizes have to shrink dramatically for the Brewers to have a clearly better team? I’m just one of those carazies out there who needs more than minute info and partial results, sorry to the offended. I’m still not fully indoctrinated on the post-covid sports analysis, don’t see the same fire you do over something as leisurely as a 54 out sport played 162 times during the spring/summer/early fall Boy do I have some good news for you if you don’t want to worry about sample sizes! Because you could just look at the standings and tell the Brewers are better. 9.5 games better in the standings. 10.5 games better in pythag. They’ve scored more runs than the Cubs They’ve allowed fewer runs than the Cubs Projected to win 92 games to the Cubs 79 per Fangraphs Projected to win 92 games to the Cubs 81 per 538 Projected to win 93 games to the Cubs 82 per BP.
  13. That's just the pace these guys have come out with, similar enough thinking got the Brewers a division title this past June :dontknow: Your troll attempts are quite pathetic.
  14. No one's weighing the wins so still I. Even a team as mighty as the Brewers may struggle to outpace .666 ball in the second half I wasn’t aware we get to play the worst team in the majors every game the rest of the way.
  15. I love how, in addition to Walker, the catcher and third baseman don’t go for the ball either. The third baseman just stands there like there’s nothing for him to do other than watch the play. The catcher at first points to the dugout for a review and then points to the second runner coming home for some reason.
  16. [tweet] [/tweet] Longer video. Is this peak LOL Mets? Three runs scoring on a ball that travels 20 feet.
  17. Mets were up 6-0 going into the bottom of the 8th also.
  18. Reds just blew a 2 run lead to Milwaukee but it was off Amir Garrett. Not very often I’m annoyed and happy at the same time.
  19. When Boog said the Diamondbacks were 2-52 this year when scoring less than 5 runs, I knew that the Cubs morbid offense could help turn that around for them. They’re also 0-33 this year when scoring 2 runs or fewer.
  20. That hat looks like it was designed by a 4 year old who is learning how to write their letters and frequently writes them backwards. I can’t wait to see what terrible idea they come up with next.
  21. Yeah, it’s like they felt bad that Booker was dumb enough to keep contesting shots with 5 fouls. He could have fouled out a couple times. The one on Holliday where Holliday dumped it off to another player (Giannis?) was horrid. I think that was the one with 3:30ish left. Just let him get the two points, dude. Be smarter. If there's 10 seconds left and you're up 1? That's different. But you need to stay in the game.
  22. Nadal vs Federer for #2 is a good debate. Federer is the more complete player, but Nadal is up 24-16 (10-4 in grand slams) in the head-to-head rivalry. Nadal is up in the H2H in part because after he started winning majors, he wasn't good enough to make the finals on hard court while Roger was waiting in the finals. So if he wasn't good enough to beat random dudes not named Roger Federer on hard court, he wasn't going to beat Roger Federer on hard court. From the 05 US Open through the 08 US Open, there were 6 times they were seeded 1-2 in the bracket and didn't meet in the final. 1 time neither made the final and the other 5, Federer made it but Nadal didn't. So while H2H credits Nadal for having the edge on Federer, it doesn't fault him for losing to far inferior players. On the other hand, Federer lost to Nadal four straight years in the French (semis once, finals three times). It's picking nits, I know, but when you're comparing two all time greats who are pretty evenly matched, that's that you have to do. And if we're talking greatest ever, I prefer the all around player over the more one-dimensional player. Nadal is the best player ever on a single surface and it's not even close. I can't fault anyone for putting Nadal over Federer though. You can make a good case either way.
  23. Yeah, sheer volume he's going to blow past the other two. Federer's not going to win another one and Nadal couldn't even win the French this year. Hilarious that we spent a decade debating Nadal or Federer as the GOAT and the correct answer was neither. And unless Rafa wins a couple more on non-clay surfaces, he's relegated to #3 for me.
