    Keeping with the Bears' reputation of being cheap. ?????????? WHAT Jesus some people will complain about anything. Lets lay it on the line. He doesn't deserve 8 million a year, his scheme is actually pretty shi**y on the whole, but he motivated the team, got them in shape, and held them accountable. (Unlike Jauron) Why does he deserve more than those guys? They all went to the Superbowl and lost as well, y'know. Sarcasm. The Bears haven't been cheap in a while but some people want to keep up their old reputation. I totally agree with your assessment with Lovie too.

    Wow. I feel bad for the guy. Hope his surgery(ies) and rehab goes well. the espn ticker just kept going ...torn ACL...torn MCL....torn PCL....dislocated... well of course its dislocated, thats pretty much all the ligaments (i think). it hurts to think about it. he's a peoria kid, right? He tore three of the four ligaments in his knee according to the LA Times. And they're still saying this is a potentially career-ending injury. :| Yeah, he's from Peoria.

    Well you'd have to look at teams that had a 96 loss season and then spend $300 million in the offseason after that. This case is unique. What does the W-L record and offseason spending have to do with Dempster's struggles and possibilities of returning to form?
