Oregon's defense has reverted to midseason form (obviously this has a lot to do with how good and big and athletic Florida is). And their shooting has been horrid. Not a good combo against a team as good as Florida.

Florida is at 50% from outside the arc though... they've been shooting really well too. Oregon needs to rebound the ball better at the defensive end, though. It's no surprise that Florida is getting a ton of offensive rebounds and I doubt that changes at all in the second half. As for the 3-point shooting, Humphrey has shot 45% the last two years which is what he's at right now. Green is shooting better (75% today and 40% for the year) but Humphrey is the big 3-point shooter. Florida will probably drop off a bit, but not too much. Plus Noah and Horford have a combined 8 points on 1-7 shooting. I'm willing to bet that changes in the second half as well. A few of Humphrey and Green's 3s have come from open looks after an offensive rebound where their defender collapsed in an attempt to get the board. Unless the guards don't go for the offensive boards, which Florida is going to continue to get anyway, those open looks will be there in the second half also. Oregon's downfall is going to be giving Florida too many second chances. Agreed. Oregon has come back and tied it up here - but Hariston and Leunen each have 3 fouls.

Aaron Brooks is so effective when Oregon spreads it out and allows him to take his man off the dribble, glad to see Oregon do that. They're still in this thing, which is great. Oregon needs to get it going on the fast break though, that's their bread and butter.

The Ducks need take advantage of what open looks they are getting outside...Malik Hairston is carrying them right now but they have no chance at this game if Porter and Brooks don't pick it up. Does it really take this long to fix the net?

I'll wait to judge that when we find out what Moore gets us in a trade. Does anyone know if Moore is going to play shortstop for Iowa this year? It's probably a lot more likely that he splits time between 1st, 3rd and corner OF. Personally, I'd like to see what he could do at 2nd base but with Patterson there it's unlikely to happen. It'd be real nice if they could find him some time at SS, but I'd settle for getting him plenty of time in the corner infield and outfield spots. It'd be real nice to have a left handed power bat that could fill in at quite a few spots. He's definitely going to be at the corner IF and OF spots this season, not just at 3B. My cousin said he was working on grounders at SS one day at Fitch last week, so hopefully gets a few games there too.

Yeah, it depends on where I am. And if we're moving in traffic. On the open freeway, I tend to go 80, which is 15 mph over the speed limit in town and 10 mph over the speed limit in the rural dessert and mountain areas. Of course when there's no traffic, most folks go at about 75-80 on the freeways.
