  1. He still does... they're the same every decade.
  2. Wouldn't we have to wait a while for him to work out the kinks and actually be Ben Sheets? Isn't that the best case scenario with most major surgeries? Like a year or at least most of a year? Not that I wouldn't be pleased with the move... would be a great move, IMO.
  3. I can only comment on my recent memory. But it seemed in 2008, every time Sheets tried to come back, his elbow hurt, or his shoulder hurt, or he had a problem with his finger. Seems like something was always happening and seems extremely injury prone if you ask me. Sure I'd love a healthy Sheets, but I don't think we'll get that. When was the last time he was fully healthy or atleast mostly healthy? Didn't Sheets pitch 200 innings in 2008?
  4. Yeah, but the Steeler fans I know are really whiny. I wouldn't put all that much stock in that. Fassel's another guy who I would like, but again Bears probably can't lure him here for just a season. They'd need to lay some kind of post-Lovie scenario on the table. And if you do that, you're saying Lovie's gone. That's not what I heard yesterday. Bears fans aren't? It's really not even close. Or at least, the justification for the whining isn't close. Pittsburgh just won a Super Bowl, and they won another not too long ago. Yet their fans have been whining all year about a myriad of topics. Is winning a Super Bowl the difference maker? There was plenty of whining among Chicago fans during the 2006 season (which came right after another very good season) about grossman and about the defense down the stretch... I couldn't believe how much complaining I heard during what was basically the most fun period of time I've ever experienced watching football (I was 2 in 1985). Chicago fans love to complain. You might not see it when you're not in the area, but it's more than tiresome.

  6. it's not like that rumor had no legs....it was widely reported and it came down to Kobe (supposedly) nixing it because of the players heading to LA I don't understand why people get so offended and deny all credibility once a reported rumor doesn't come to fruition. Just because a trade didn't go down doesn't mean there wasn't anything to it and it doesn't mean that what was being reported wasn't ever true. It's a rumor. It's reported as such. It's not being reported as being a completed trade or a breaking story. All he said was it's being talked about. That's why it's a rumor and not a news story. Take that for what it's worth and leave it at that. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't mean it couldn't have. Same goes for the Kobe thing. Same goes for the way people respond to Bruce Levine's stuff. Sure, maybe sometimes they overstate how sure some things are, but it's the nature of what they're doing. It could have absolutely nothing to it, it could be somewhat true, or it could really have legs. Hell, any of those three could be true and it could still either happen or not happen. I'm sure rumors that have been completely made up in the past have come true and vice versa.

  8. http://www.670thescore.com/episode_download.php?contentType=36&contentId=4297647 The talk starts up at around the 32 minute mark.
  9. Apparently, Bernstein reported a rumor of Hinrich, TT, a pick, and possibly more to Toronto for Bosh as though it might have some legs. I'm getting this second hand from RealGM.
  10. There are also varying degrees of crappiness and the Chiefs beat the Bears there by a considerable margin... both as an organization and in terms of home cities.
  11. So how long before the first offseason fluff piece talking about Soto and Z having lost weight. And maybe something like Soriano lifting weights or working out his legs for the first time in his life after a disappointing season. A week or two, I'm guessing... Usually pop up right around the convention.
  12. Looks like it's not Marinelli according to what I just heard on ESPN1000. They're saying that it was discussed but have decided to go elsewhere... outside the organization. Appears it was a bad report.
  13. So ESPN1000 tried to talk to Martz and apparently he said he wouldn't come on until the Bears contacted him. But he did confirm interest in the job.
  14. Marinelli to DC is really frustrating. It's no different than anything we've seen since 2007. Just another like-minded voice.
  15. Went to the game tonight...Best seats of my life... Too bad the Bulls had to be terrible in the second half... I think we were sitting in the hockey penalty box... http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bac2cb221949485746.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bac309408811000210.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bac339a1f840248400.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bac3701c0019259051.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bac3b5c7f339227116.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bac4023e3963534858.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bb177791b052819241.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bb17a9952514114597.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bb17dc097923013713.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bb1856219346215229.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/thumb_4b42bb1886b14922063482.jpg
  16. I felt that if they didn't fire Lovie then they'd bring Turner back anyways. I can't see them bringing in a new OC for 2010, then if they underachieve again, having them fire Lovie and hiring someone new, who will then bring in ANOTHER new OC for 2011. I just have a hard time seeing them having three offenses in three years. They've done it before. (Shoop, Shea, Turner) Man, what a miserable trio. Who knows if Shea really was miserable... I thought it was strange that they fired a first year OC when what he had to work with all year was Quinn, Krenzel, and Hutchinson... the first few games with Grossman weren't horrible.
  17. And I fully expect Turner to be gone. and I fully expect Lovie to stay. I'm guessing they'll hire a DC, though.

  19. Bears better sign him. I'm guessing it'll take a trade.
  20. Nice to see Marshall's season ending on a horrible note in Denver too.
  21. No matter what happens this year, outside of something ridiculously unexpected like a deep playoff run, VDN will not be back next year. Who cares if some better play this year = no crappy interim coach like Pete Meyers in between?
  22. You went from this... The thing is the schedule sets up pretty good now for a while too, which means they probably get into the playoffs with a 7 or 8 seed, which means Del Negro would probably stay. to this... ...with nothing but a win against the Magic in between? lol
  23. Yea, I'm not sure I'm buying the Scola/Landry thing. I mean, they can hold out all they want for that, but they're not gonna get it.
