  1. Still amazes me how quickly they fell back 10 games.
  2. Either he's a [expletive] or his knee is/was much worse than they are letting on. Why didn't they just do this in July and give him a few more months to rest and rehab? http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings/_/date/20090731 Granted, you could make the argument that he wasn't helping much with the season he was having...
  3. Set a reasonable benchmark for suckiness, and I might be willing to wager on that.
  4. Good.
  5. Got my one confirmation email about an hr ago.
  6. Yea, I can't imagine the profit margin on those things is very good. Face value tickets were routinely available last year (not necessarily for huge games... I don't really remember which ones, but I never had a problem pulling them up) on the day of the game.
  7. I can name a whole bunch that are a whole lot less storied (obviously a subjective thing)... From the black sox stuff to all the bill veeck stuff, I think they have their share of baseball lore...
  8. If I had known how lucky I had gotten, I would've maxed out on bleacher tickets... Instead I only got what I needed. Oh well, more for everyone else. :-)
  9. This should be pretty damn cool... Don't have a link yet. Although there's a mention here... http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnist/hiestand-tv/2010-02-18-olympics-nbc-live-coverage_N.htm
  10. Can't you just try getting through twice for singles?
  11. Mine always went directly to the 6/12 game Yea, I just saw the last page. Seems a lot of people were having that problem. Schedule link worked fine, though.
  12. Was it taking anyone else directly to a Cubs/Sox game for anyone else? When one of my tabs got through, it would automatically have me at that game.
  13. Got a pair of bleachers to the opener... all I was really looking for... had this going... http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/public/132312/untitled.JPG
  14. I don't think anyone outside of Chicago would've called the NFC championship game a classic. It wasn't that competitive save for a stretch in the 3rd quarter and Rex was pretty awful. I'm probably short changing the Seattle game a bit. That was a good one. But the games I was talking about were utter insanity. The MNF game is still one of the most unbelievable things I've ever seen in sports. Edit: Coming back to win from a 20 point half time deficit without scoring an offensive touchdown plus Denny's classic meltdown. For a regular season game, it had it all. Blowouts in my team's favor > winning close ones But yea, the MNF game was obviously one of the most incredible games of all time...I remember so much of that game and of what I was doing while watching it.
  15. The first playoff victory wasn't all that fantastic. It was an escape and it was a pretty ugly game outside of the fact that we won. That said, that whole season was awesome. I have tons of great memories of the regular season and of the Saints game.

  17. http://blogs.bulls.com/chicago_bulls_blog/2010/02/prognosis-on-rose-positive-as-allstar-guard-heads-to-dallas.html
  18. SSR trolls you guys so easily.
  19. Rose's MRI came back negative per ESPN 1000 btw.
  20. You people are all overreacting. I'm not sure there are many more awesome guys in the NBA than Dwight Howard. They are good friends and Rose had already let him know that he was fine when he said that.
  21. something wrought iron could do the trick without having to look like a prison
  22. If we had Roy, we wouldn't have Rose. I'm never again complaining about anything the Bulls did prior to June of 2008. :D
  23. Any interest in Antonio Bryant if he doesn't wind up costing something absurd? The one year in his career in which he had a decent QB throwing to him (Garcia) he blew up. If you look at the rest of his career, it's a more depressing list than the Bears QBs.
