position In case you don't know, 1-9 is pitcher, catcher, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, lf, cf, rf ....and now he knows what it means when they say "4, 6, 3 doubleplay"
Yea, but is there any way to really know if that phenomenon (which is more of a football thing than any of the other sports) is more of a result of the pounding that they take than any actual effect the aging has on their bodies? I don't know if we really can answer that. Other athletes are still in their physical primes in their late 20's/early 30's...athletes that don't take that pounding.
Some people are stupid, i.e. that guy that wondered if Lovie Smith knows what is going on with his own team because he made some comments supportive of Olsen. Granted, the Bears HAVE said some things that turned out to accurate... like the comments about not upgrading WR (though they were clearly in pursuit of Plaxico at the time) and the comments about always looking to upgrade the QB position last year (Cutler fell in their laps).
Still have to do something with the Oline True, but we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that it was considerably better at the end of the year. Once Pace got out of the picture, things seemed to get a lot better and I really liked how Williams played against Allen in the Vikings game. If it was horrible at the start of the year, it might've been closer to average at the end of the season.
Bernstein saying they couldn't be trying harder to trade Olsen right now... they're working on it and so is Olsen's agent (Drew). Saying there's no bridges being built between Olsen and Martz and Martz hasn't even attempted to reach out to him. I know people are skeptical with B&B, but all of this completely makes sense.
Bernstein on B&B suggesting that there's more going on at Halas Hall than all the free agency [expletive] right now... mentioned that draft day could be more interesting than we thought, the implication seemingly being that Olsen could be on his way out...
Apparently, Minnesota was pretty upset about him coming here. Heard something about them having flown somebody out to try to talk to him and get him to stay.
Ryan Clark on the radio saying he'd love to be a Bear... was a Bears fan growing up and is a Bulls and Derrick Rose fan. Would love to play in a secondary behind Julius Peppers.
You guys were freaking out way, way before I said that. So obviously that can't be the reason you find my opinion wildly unacceptable. How about deeming the move a bust along the lines of Ben Wallace after one year?
