  1. If the Eagles destroy the Giants tonight and we manage to beat the Eagles next week, I wonder how much the perception of the Bears will improve, both nationally and locally.
  2. Deng just needs to stop missing layups and make more FTs.... not driving out of control to the basket and charging would be nice, too. And try to pass to the open trailer on the fast break now and again, plz.
  3. You mean like Deng, Boozer, Korver, Rose, Taj, and even Noah?
  4. I'm sure the Bulls would be hesitant to pull the trigger on that deal. I agree that both Taj and even Deng, as much as I rag on him, are solid contributors to a good team. When you have the chance to get a legitimate superstar, you do it. Especially when you have a chance to do so while already having (and keeping) Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, and Derrick Rose on your team.
  5. We should have a decent chance at winning both the Phoenix and Denver games, and we should win the Sacramento game... so there's a pretty solid chance of a 4-3 trip, and 5-2 isn't all that insane.
  6. I'm at a loss for words when someone calls Jay Cutler the weak link in an offense with our WRs, our offensive line, our running backs...
  7. We're ten games in. ok combine that with last year's playoffs. And then factor in that Garnett was dealing with serious knee pain the prior year that probably slowed him down a lot. knees get better as you go deeper into your 30's? what about last year's playoffs? he really wasn't doing much different then than he did last season or the season before that... and this season he's just averaging a couple more rebounds a game... in more minutes... and we're only 10 games in. i'm not saying he isn't a decent starter at this point, and that what he's doing isn't very good given his circumstances (his age, his miles, the condition of his knees)... but the days in which he instills fear into opponents are long over (or they should be, at least). and he won't be dropping 30 ppg on anyone in any playoff series.

  9. and lol at Garnett dropping 30 a game on anybody. he's antonio davis now (at his best, granted). he hasn't been worth fearing since 2008.
  10. chris paul werd rose still hasn't been quite efficient enough to be in that conversation just yet... he needs to get to the line more to finish his arrival
  11. I chose to ignore the troll bait portion of the post.
  12. That's a big ass if with the age of that team, the condition of KG's knees, and 6 more months of mileage. The fact that they were able to kick it up a notch for the playoffs last year doesn't mean they can do it again.
  13. We match up better against Miami than we do Boston. I can see where you're going with that, but I've actually seen us match up well against Boston. I'll have to wait until we actually play Miami a few times before I can buy into that. We've matched up well with Boston -- when KG isn't playing. The game that we had at Boston a couple of weeks ago was really the first time I remember us actually playing well there when KG's played. And we still lost. When they get Perkins back, they're going to be a real tough team to play against. I'd take my chances with Miami's NBDL frontcourt. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201004130CHI.html I know people like to act like that game was an easy win and that Boston wasn't trying very much to win, but it sure looks like their starters played normal minutes and they definitely weren't out there trying to lose. That said, I don't know that I'd be all that worried about KG at this point... especially not after another entire season's worth of wear and tear (his nice start to this season notwithstanding). Not that he isn't productive, but I can't see him having much left in the tank.

  15. Actually, Brewer was very good today and seems to be finally getting up to game speed. The fact that he can't shoot shouldn't be news to anybody.
  16. Ok, so that doesn't count then? Seriously? When the question is "When is the last time the Bulls had a good circus trip?" The circus trip = the long road trip (usually completely out west against several very good teams with some tough scheduling quirks tossed in) the Bulls take every November because the circus takes over the United Center. The Bulls have historically had a very hard time with this trip over the past 10 years. If the question were, "When was the last time the Bulls had a good road trip," your answer would work.
  17. Oh, I think you're thinking of the Disney on Ice trip or whatever in January.
  18. Am I not getting the joke or something? They lost 5 straight last year.. 1-5
  19. In Rose's rookie year I think they went 3-4 or thereabouts, which was considered hugely successful.
  20. monta ellis, stephen curry, and david lee doin thangs that core isn't exactly terrible. and ellis and curry are playing really well so far this year.
  21. Rose is regressing while having the best season of his career. Got it.
  22. Nobody is worried about going from Lee making things easy on Ramirez and Castro's sometimes wild arms to Dunn being perhaps disastrous? Not that it would keep me from signing him...I want him. ....but it could get hilariously bad at times.
  23. I didn't watch much of the last couple months. Aside from punishing Castro, did he do much to piss you guys off in his time as interim?
