  1. I'd rather he take a couple games off and get a week long rest.
  2. Exactly. This is a scenario where if the Cubs really wanted someone like Webb or Garza, they should have done everything possible to complete the deal quickly. I don't know why Hendry was fooling around, especially with Webb. He has to have medical records and input from doctors at this point. Either [expletive] or get off the pot. Now, if we do sign him, it's going to cost a hell of a lot more. How will we know when he's off the pot? Is he going to hold a press conference to let the world know we're not signing Brandon Webb?
  3. You must not have been paying attention to the rest of the season if you think Bulls fans are just getting excited as a result of a 6-game winning streak. The west coast road trip without Boozer, playing reasonably well on the road in all but one game, the only real trouble the Bulls were having early on was in winning handily, and now they've done that the last 2 games. I don't think you have any clue just how difficult the first 21 games of the Bulls schedule were. Yup. Hardest schedule in the league, pretty easily, even after 3 of our last 4 games have been against Cleveland, Minnesota, and Indiana.
  4. And it's a good thing, what with him being such a marksman from the line. If the entire NBA wasn't so busy inadvertantly attacking him, maybe he'd be healthy enough to hit his free throws. rofl

  6. 107-78. In Chicago. On Boozer's first game back. But yes, I'm sure Orlando is 30 points a game better than Chicago at all times, and there is no chance the Bulls could finish higher in the East. I'm sure a full game of Carlos Boozer makes a 30 point difference. I'm sure a one game sample size means everything.

  9. Stole this from coldfish at RealGM  I knew that the rest of our schedule set up well for us to rack up the wins, but seeing it tallied up like this is pretty sweet.
  10. shhhh let me troll erik the cubs are awful at everything

  12. I challenge anybody to name a better one. Prior, Wood, Zambrano, Clement, Maddux

  14. Didn't think so. I know they had that one proposal that fell through in the last couple of years.
  15. They're getting a new stadium? I know the Marlins are...
  16. Are the Rays this era's mid-90's Indians? I loved those teams.
  17. I'm honestly not sure which I'd rather have... great management but horribly limited resources (not to mention that crap park) or mediocre to poor management and really good resources (even now - unless payroll drops a ton after these contracts go off the books). It's close, but I think it's the latter.
  18. There's always a bunch of variables like that going into a season for most teams that can make or break years... especially when it's "if xxx has a monster year." That said, the 08 team had a lot of that stuff go our way. DeRo had a great year, Dempster came out of nowhere to be a really good starter, Soto panned out, Harden had his one remotely healthy season and was pretty awesome, Aramis stayed healthy... and the biggest one... Jim freaking Edmonds just saying
  19. I love Rivers. And I love Cutler.

  22. You have to be a presumptuous dolt to think you would draft the player you value over anybody in baseball in the first round?
  23. Can we please bat Soto 3rd and Byrd like 6th or 7th or something?
