  1. FWIW, both Sagarin and Hollinger have us as the #5 best team today. For whoever doesn't know it, those aren't typical subjective power rankings but statistical models that churn out overall ratings based on numbers that I mostly don't understand. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/nba1011.htm http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings
  2. Especially when he's a guy with plantar fasciitis issues.
  3. I'd consider 45 wins, even without Noah for 2+ months, a disaster considering the start we've had and the remaining schedule. I agree with whoever said we can still go something like 20-10 over the next 30 and would've expected better with a healthy Noah. The suggestion was that the Bulls would go 20-10 with Noah in the lineup, not without. I'd consider 45 wins a huge disapointment too, it was just a number I threw out. I think it will be something like 50-32, but at the same time its really hard to understand how much we'll miss Noah until he isn't out there. When the Bulls didn't have Noah last year, they were a completely different and bad team. Obviously the team is better and deeper this year (except at Center of course...) but there will be a definite and noticable dropoff in the teams play eventually. I was the one who said I'd still expect 20-10 without Noah and would've been disappointed with that record with Noah.
  4. ...Rosenbloom, Phillips, and Stone? This... http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/rosenblog/2010/12/zambrano-wants-to-stay-a-cub-which-is-one-reason-pena-had-to-become-a-cub.html
  5. AlexKennedyNBA Alex Kennedy Some reports have said he'll miss ten weeks but sources close to Noah are optimistic the time frame will be closer to six-to-eight weeks.
  6. Can also go Boozer, Deng, Korver, Brewer, Rose against some teams
  7. Noah/Taj/Asik is probably comparable in value to Boozer/Taj/Asik and look how well we did in the tough part of our schedule with the former.
  8. I think we would've done better than 20-10 with him and think we can go 20-10 without him. Look at the next 30 games again.
  9. Uhhhhhh get out of here with that ERA crap you saber nerd Zambrano doesn't win games.
  10. It's been obvious that he has a hand injury for a while That said, he's been playing with this for a while without having the examination done that would reveal ligament damage? Huh?
  11. I'd rather do something like Bogans, JJ, and Watson (if that works salary wise)...
  12. Here's the excerpt on Z from that article, btw.
  13. Remember back in 07 spring training when AZ Phil (I think -or maybe it was Al Yellon) was reporting that Prior was showing his 03 stuff in workouts... ...and then we saw him pitch in a spring training game and he was topping off at like 81. Yea, that sucked.
  14. I'd give them a prospect and ask for nothing in return for them to take Soriano along with him. lol
  15. I have a feeling his desire to pitch for Mike Quade might temper a bit with the prospect of pitching for the New York Yankees...
  16. You think Z would have a major problem with going to New York and pitching for the Yankees with Rothschild?
  17. But Ben Gordon wasn't very good at driving or dribbling. But yea, I remember that too.
  18. I thought that it made my comment more badass. It wasn't awful.
  19. http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22748484/26447269seems appropriate to what is being discussed

  21. Yea, guy!
  22. It's fair because although the Bulls have improved, I refuse to believe that they are THAT much better than they were last year. And even if they were, Orlando has been so much better the past few years that it would simply just narrow the gap. And I do agree that the gap has been narrowed significantly. Seems contradictory. Anyway, as for the first part, then you refuse to believe the truth. They were also better last year than their record said. They had a legit shot at 50 wins in February when they got hit hard by injuries (all of Rose, Noah, and Deng out together at one point) and hit a long losing streak.
  23. Especially with 60% roster turnover and going from the worst coach in the league to a good, perhaps great, one (although the Bulls did beat Orlando once last year and blew them out once the year before, IIRC)
