  1. They can sign both with a little maneuvering. Signing all three takes some creativity and giving up Noah or Rose as sweeteners.
  2. ChiTribuneLive CSN has confirmed that Wade and Bosh are both currently at Henry Thomas' office with #Bulls management #Heat #freeagency #NBA
  3. It's arguable that Scottie was a top 5 NBA player at the time. And even if the positions were similar, their games were very different. Scottie was the perfect complement to Michael. He was a great passer, great defender, and didn't need to score to be effective. Very different situation than Wade and LeBron. I know LeBron is the alpha between these two, but is LeBron is exactly those things you just said Scottie is...not as good a defender, though.
  4. Maybe Wade is just realizing that he + Rose + Noah (+ Taj, Deng potentially, etc.) and another FA is much better than what Miami can surround him with
  5. It's a bit different when the FA period has actually started, though.
  6. chadfordinsider I've confirmed the Wade-Bulls meeting tonight. Source believes Wade is leaning toward joining Bulls ... Link coming
  7. He was. And the Knicks tried to get him. And Jerry ponied up $30M as a result.
  8. Bosh is also -500. That's ridiculous. I feel like betting against both of them, both because I want to hedge my happiness and because I think that's nowhere near close to a true representation of reality. The New York Times still has some pull I guess. Being the cynic I am, I want to believe the hype, and part of me does, but the other part is waiting for the carpet to get pulled out from under me. I know none of the rumors have been as mainstream as this one, but I still have unhealed wounds from the Kobe to Chicago and Bulls trading for Amare rumors, not to mention Brian Roberts and Peavy for the Cubs. I'm as optimistic as they come, but this is one thing I'll have to see to believe. I do believe it logically could and even should happen... but Bosh's wishes are just a big x-factor to me... I could easily see him going to Miami. More easily than I can see him coming here.
  9. People said the Celtics wouldn't have enough depth... and they were older and only had really, really good players toward the ends of their primes (if not past). It's hard to see that team losing many games... even with complete trash on the bench. It's not like the starting lineup goes out and then the bench goes in... you're going to have great, great players on the court at all non-garbage times. Hell, you could lose one of the players and still have a championship contender.
  10. As long as you start a remotely competent SG, I don't see how it wouldn't be up there. You'd have a potential GOAT candidate at one position, a top 3-5 PG, a top 2-3 PF, and a top 5 C.

  12. I trust Woj... probably the best NBA writer around right now. He would paraphrase if he meant to paraphrase. All that phrasing tells me is that it wasn't said to him... so take that FWIW... somebody(ies) has told him that's what he said, IMO.
  13. Wizards appear to be trying to move Kirk to Orlando in a deal for Vince.
  14. Meh. This isn't third grade. Teams will do what is in their best interest. For that very reason, teams don't back out on moves like this. You destroy your reputation and look like a scumbag to the entire league.
  15. I don't really see that being the case... and I'd never give up Noah in a S&T outright for Bosh. You just don't need to give up that kind of value in S&T's. It doesn't happen that way.
  16. Hopefully it's a non-issue though, and we can give them enough sweeteners (Gibson, picks, etc.) to get it done without Noah. Our best shot at that is if they manage to dump Turky-Glue, as has been rumored. That, or we can just find a team to dump Deng (with sweeteners, of course) for cap space.
  17. Well the key is moving Deng along with him... that's the only reason I'd include Noah...it'd be a sweetener to get them to take the contract. Otherwise there's no point. We would only need to give them value because of the fact that we're asking them to take on a bad contract. And I wouldn't do it if it weren't a move to pair him up with LBJ. It might come down to a mini bidding war for Bosh though. That 6th year is much more valuable to him than it is for someone like Lebron. A S&T centered around Noah for Bosh, without the motive of clearing cap space to pursue another max FA (which would be great obviously), but to get him away from the Raptors isn't out of the question. I like Noah and it would be great to have him on the team and even more fun to win with him but Bosh is a borderline top 10 player in the league. You have to do that I think. Of course you could always sign Amare, Boozer, or Lee outright and keep Noah. There's no bidding war in that scenario... if the Bulls have a slot open and are just looking to sign Bosh and not trying to peddle away Deng, Bosh has the leverage. It's not like Bosh is just telling Toronto to sign him and trade him to whoever gives them the best offer. Bosh chooses where he goes and then the S&T is worked out. Why would Bosh want the Bulls go give up one of their most important players just to sign him (without leaving a max slot open for LBJ)?

  19. Also, if we absolutely must include Noah in a S&T to Toronto for Bosh (this only in a scenario that LeBron comes too - I'm not moving Noah to put together Bosh/JJ/Rose or anything like that), I'd do it... but I'd try my best not to have to. Even if we're stuck losing Noah, Bosh, LBJ, Rose is one hell of a core and a definite championship favorite.
  20. It all depends on if they can clear up more salary... I'm doubtful that they can, but we know that's exactly what they're trying to do at the moment. If they got it done, it would be a mortal lock IMO that Bosh and LBJ would be coming here (there is NO more attractive situation for them - not even close, really), though, so there's little chance of Bosh/JJ anyway.
  21. Plenty. Ive read about Fortes "speed" being back, and the depth at linebackers in the last 2 days. That's better. :) I gotta believe there's stuff out there on how Cutler is taking to the new system like a fish to water, the receivers look great, yada yada yada Actually, it's mostly cautious optimism that they're seeing gradual improvement day by day learning the offense. The fluff pieces have been about the defense dominating and the secondary getting lots of picks. Not kidding.
  22. But anyway, they way to go is to attack the scalpers around the 2nd inning... You can easily get tickets for half off face and lower.
  23. I got front row seats by 3b for Prior's first MLB start thanks to that trick.
  24. hahhahahahahahahahah
  25. Let's try to turn a dominating relief prospect into a starter. Step 1 - let him dominate as a starter for a few starts Step 2 - turn him back into a reliever so he can get up to the big league team (and fill a hole on a mediocre team) faster
