  1. Theodore Roosevelt Lilly http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/mlb/players/65/4062.jpg 97 ERA+ 1.194 WHIP vs. This Guy http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/mlb/players/65/5067.jpg 118 ERA+ 1.130 WHIP Win, idiots.
  2. You mean people who like good baseball players?
  3. Grabow and it's not close. I think you're saying things out of hurt and anger. in howry's bad cubs year he had a whip of 1.43 and ERA of 5.35... with the cubs his ERA was 3.90 and his WHIP was 1.25. grabow's career WHIP is 1.45 and his ERA is 4.16, and his cub numbers have been far worse than that. don't use your fancy numbers to argue

  5. So Lou is gonna keep running Grabow out there to blow games like he did Howry. Fun. And we get Howry back too.
  6. Why on earth isn't Geo hitting here? He has to come in the game anyway.
  7. Jesus. Starlin really is the master of the infield single.
  8. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman."
  9. And the Nets. Apparently big Oak came out today and said it's either Miami or Chicago. I don't see why it's an advantage over the Nets... Anyway, that Oakley comment came out 2 or 3 days ago. I can't see him teaming up with Wade in Miami, but who knows.
  10. i have no idea how this site is going to respond to something like this so i put spoiler tags on it
  11. ? I'm only posting the text because the site it's on seems to be slowing down/frozen, probably due to all the traffic...
  12. oh my god if this story about delonte banging lebron's mom is true.... :-)) :-)) :-))
  13. I've hated the Toronto Blue Jays all my life. no, i haven't.
  14. The only thing Beasley got going for him is that he is still on his rookie contract. And while that makes him more valuable then Deng, it doesn't make him all that valuable. And I agree with whoever said it, that is seems the ESPN is running the "Anybody but the Bulls" mentality, which is total bs. huh? ESPN is running with this Bulls story like nobody else and pushing the hell out of it... Broussard was on mike and mike 3 days in a row talking about how the Bulls are the favorite... Chad Ford put up an update last night 5 minutes after the Cavs lost saying that 3 GM's think LeBron is coming to Chicago... But then you got Avery Johnson, Jamal Mashburn, Rob Parker and Skip Bayless who believes LBJ will sign with another team not name the Bulls. So there is a stronger "anti-Bulls" contengient at ESPN right then "Pro-Bulls." Except those guys are just talking head analysts while the others at least claim to have sources and are reporters. Except Bayless, he's just a professional troll.

  16. Not gonna lie. I lost my Rondo hate this series... although looking at him still annoys me. He's fun to watch.
  17. Per Chris Mannix of SI, Mike Brown will be fired today.
  18. How exactly is Miami re-signing Wade, signing LeBron, AND trading for Bosh/Amare? Without any real knowledge of Miami's cap situation outside of the fact that they have a max slot, I'm really pretty sure that's not possible.
  19. lol at self quote
  20. I'm not sure if you mean to tie all those thoughts together, but just to be clear, you're aware that the Bulls don't need to do a S&T to sign LBJ, right? They can sign him outright. Really? I had no idea. So you mean a free agent is free to sign with another team that has the salary cap space to sign him? You just blew my mind. All those thoughts? It was two thoughts. One opinion saying to go to the Clippers and aresponse to the sign and trade. Calm down there. Who pissed in your Cheerios? First of all, I have no idea what you know about the Bulls cap space situation or the NBA salary cap nor is there any reason I should know. Secondly, all I was saying was that I wasn't sure whether or not to interpret those sentences as tied together somehow or simply two completely unrelated thoughts. You went from saying he should sign with LA to saying that the "sign and trade idea to Chicago is nuts." You don't see how a potential interpretation of those two sentences following one another could be, "He should sign with LAC, because there's no way Chicago can sign and trade for him?"
  21. The irrational Jordan nut-hugging frustrates me. He was amazing but he wasn't superhuman. Saying that Jordan never lost as a #1 seed as though it means something (one could easily argue that all that means is that it took Jordan longer to be a #1 seed and that LeBron did more in the regular season with crappier teams - not that I think that argument means anything either)... it's tantamount to the dumb people who say that Kobe lost twice in the finals as if it's some sort of negative criticism.
  22. I just don't see there being much of a mystery for him about what he would be getting contract-wise. The thing that can change things is what the other teams are able to accomplish outside of LeBron, though.
  23. Salary...years...possible sign and trade deals....basically all of the logistics that goes along with a big signing. It's either a max contract or a Bird max contract if Cleveland is willing to do a S&T... and if it's fewer years, as has been speculated, it'll be because LeBron wants it that way. There is no team (with cap space, of course) that won't give LeBron whatever he wants, exactly how he wants it, in terms of a contract.
