  1. Yeah I think his initial timeline was 4-6 months, which on the aggressive side would have him back sometime in March. It's an upper body injury so there's part of me that thinks he should be able to keep himself in decent shape during this time? I think the plan is for now to hope he can help in the playoffs.
  2. Zo is an important glue guy on this team but between Ayo, Coby and Caruso coming back they should be able to weather this one ok. Provided Zach comes back in relatively short order as well. The playoffs were really a war of attrition last year. I'm ok with the Bulls being cautious with injuries if that helps them get to April and May healthy. It will be really interesting to see what they do before the trade deadline. Even if they figure Pat is coming back you know they have to make a move for a big of some capacity.
  3. That was a rough 3rd quarter last night. It's like the Bulls panicked when they realized their defense wasn't holding and they weren't going to be able to outscore them. Need to get healthy and add a defensive minded big as well. Not the end of the world but definitely looked outclassed in the second half last night.
  4. Ryan Pace, the gift that will never cease to give.
  5. The cash considerations bit is funny but I hope he can provide solid defense, rebounding and rim protection. IIRC that's basically his game and there's certainly an opportunity here if he can.
  6. Fields has a lot to work on but I'm a believer in his talent. This team sucks ass though. Have so much to fix and I don't trust this organization to get it right. Being a Bears fan sucks!
  7. I wanted Javy back and KB would be another great fit (although KB would fit great on just about every team). I was surprised he didn't sign before 12/1, but I guess that makes sense with how Boras rolls.
  8. Nagy gave Rodgers COVID so hopefully he is out for revenge. 50-burger, please. End this farce.
  9. I love this Bulls team.
  10. Sucks to lose a pick but a big relief it's only a second rounder. I was prepared to lose a first.
  11. I kind of liked Hermisillo. He looked the part anyway. And if the DH is truly coming to the NL the Cubs should sign Schwarber. 40 home runs a year.
  12. Every time I think the Bulls are cooling off they go out and kick someone's ass. As long as the defense shows up most nights I too think they can win 50+. Still anxious to see what kind of moves they make to bolster the front line. Go freaking Bulls.
  13. It'll be like 2013/2014 without a whole crop of studs in the minors. Who's fired up for baseball!
  14. Matt Nagy is definitely going to get Fields killed in these last 6 games.
  15. TBF THT is pretty good. I think he had 28 last night. Westbrick though not so much. The guys they traded to DC for him are doing pretty well too. I don’t know if they’ll be able to unload him at some point but he’s just not a winning player I don’t see him really helping them in may or June. The warriors and suns seem like much better bets to win the west imo.
  16. It rules that the Bulls basically threw Lonzo, Carushow and some DJJ at Athony Davis and he was so flustered he got tossed from the game. What a punk; I know a few people from Chicago who are Packers fans and they are punks just like him. It's one thing if you're from Zion or Southern Illinois but you can't be from Chicago and root for the Packers. Glad the Bulls took it to him. What a fun team this is.
  17. That ruled. Bulls are horsefeathering good.
  18. I don't like it. I want the haterz to keep hatin'.
  19. That was a total screw job but I immediately felt better when I realized it’ll only hurt Nagy’s case. Fields took a big step forward and that is what matters.
  20. I'm excited for the spat of IT'S MILEY gifs to be used in gamethreads next year.
  21. I'm not even excited about FA yet because I'm assuming we won't do anything until the CBA is in place, and that probably wont be until like February It's the perfect excuse not to do anything. I expect they'll sign two #3 or 4 type starting pitchers and call it an offseason.
  22. That almost doesn't even seem possible. Bulls only missed 4 shots in the whole quarter. Hook this damn horsefeathers up into my veins!
  23. I think he made the decision on his own while Pace likely raised the issue with him from time to time. Thanks, I know a guy who is defending Nagy by saying this decision was taken out of his hands.
  24. Q: Do we think the front office made Nagy start Fields or do we think he did it on his own volition?
  25. It does seem like the floor has been raised with players in the system. They traded Bryzzo, Javy and Joc and the offense actually improved, which is something. Starting pitching is a disaster, though. And big contracts for FA pitchers are pretty much always a little sus. The Hendo projection worries me quite a bit because he's our best and has been our best and now maybe on the downslope? It takes a while to build up pitching/rotation and I just don't want to wait 2-3 more years (at a minimum) before the next good Cubs team.
