  1. Not much talk about Rose's block last night, but man I was amazed by that. You aren't supposed to be able to block a fade away shot like that. At least, I don't see it very often. I hear guys go "that shot just can't be defended" when they talk about fade aways. Well, Rose just defended the un-defendable. Great stuff.
  2. You could be on to something, goons. If the Bears get to TC or even after the OTA's are all done, and they realize they've got a gaping hole where they can't afford it, maybe they do extend the olive branch to MB and see what happens.
  3. At this point, I really don't understand not bringing Brown back. They can get him cheap, and at the very least he can buy you some time early in the season to get those guys coached up. Is it possible there was some sort of falling out with the coaching staff? I haven't heard anything about that. I wonder if they just felt like they needed to cut the rope, no more Mike Brown to look forward to coming back, someone has to step up rather than waiting for MB to save them.
  4. I'm not sure I agree with that. If the Cubs offense is laying another egg, what would be the point of stressing Harden's shoulder to the tune of 120 pitches? You aren't going to win without scoring runs anyway. With Harden you lose 2-1. Pull him early, and you lose 7-1. The big difference I see there is that you just stressed the arm of your best starter for no reason.
  5. Wrong. We have a good team that's playing bad right now. There's a difference. A bad team would stay bad; a good team hopefully won't. Hopefully. But sometimes a good team on paper starts off bad and then just continues to be bad. Especially when gimpy/injured players are involved.
  6. +++ I'm having trouble mustering up much interest in watching this club right now. They're about as fun to watch as paint drying.
  7. Ray Allen was killing me last night. He's a bad, bad man. He's the Celtic player who I respect the most. He just goes out there and hits all kinds of shots, never cries & whines for foul calls, keeps his mouth shut. The rest of the Celtics are a bunch of whiny bitches. Rondo's a wussy punk.
  8. My main April impression so far: It's a looooong way to go before the start of Bears training camp. *sigh*
  9. We're Doug Davis'........well, you know.
  10. I'm pretty sure he skipped the '09 Regression and is in the middle of the '10 Regression already. He grabs Starbucks for everyone though, so you gotta cut him some slack right?
  11. The Great '09 Dempster Regression is in full force.
  12. I can already tell following this game is going to be an exercise in frustration.
  13. Hah. SSR's hypocrisy finally exposed!
  14. The market at work. Don't buy, and the price will come down.
  15. Oh, they aren't going to call those, being in Boston and the Moon is full and the refs don't feel like it, and stuff.
  16. We should be demanding that the NBA improve the consistency with which they call games. Not just say "oh well that's how it works, nothing can be done." That's how it works because nobody demands better. Mediocrity in officiating is accepted in the NBA. I get that the Bulls lost because of other things.
  17. No, I want the rules applied consistently, even if it goes against my own team.
  18. maybe, but that's how the game is officiated in real life. give me a break. what? you don't see that officials call the game differently in the last 10 seconds? sorry but that's just the way it works. Why is it wrong to want the rules to be applied consistently?
  19. I smell a retroactive DL stint coming on.
