  1. I'd like a screenshot of Luongo's reaction after Kane's wraparound. He threw his head in total disgust -- he couldn't believe it either.
  2. I would think him playing in Minnesota makes the Bears chances of winning the division better. The Packers too. You're a Packer fan, right Flames? Are you one of the "Temporary Jets fans" guys, or one of the "I removed all the pictures of Favre from my walls" guys?
  3. How can they resist his goofy mug? http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa250/soulschizm/cutler2.jpg I need to come up with a man shot like that. Women falling all over the guy after that.
  4. It appears that a good portion of Jay Cutler's fans are women.
  5. IF you can keep Toews and Kane to reasonable contracts, then we're great. But I see a young, flashy, American-born star with strong ties to another part of the country, I think it's reasonable to worry another team might overpay him. You can never go home again, man
  6. Jim McMahon played 2 years in Green Bay and he's not exactly putting his life at risk when he shows up to Wrigley Field or any other Chicago establishments. They aren't the same player, but Favre obviously built up a lot more equity in Green Bay than McMahon did in Chicago. He hasn't said anything negative about the fans, just guy who ran him out of town, just like a lot of ex-Bears bad mouthed the McCaskeys. Then again, unlike McMahon, Favre shouldn't be in a position where he as to make appearances in Wisconsin to make a living. Time will absolutely heal the wounds. There will be tons of fans at his HOF induction, and he'll be worshipped whenever he walks into Lambau. I don't know man. Do you have any Packer fan friends? I mean some of these guys already hate him with a passion. I was surprised at how quickly and fully they turned on him. If he goes back into Lambeau, it'll be out of spite -- he's going to Minny to stab at the Packers. One last hurrah to show them how wrong they are. I mean it's a long, sharp drop from where he was 2 years ago. His first move split the Packer fan base in half. I think this one will destroy any he has left.
  7. Yeah, if Kaner's just a one-sided player who can't be your core guy, then why would Buffalo toss him a truckload of cash anyway? Are you saying they're stupid?
  8. It's truly amazing that Favre is actually contemplating showing up @ Lambeau field this fall in a Vikings uniform. I'll bet fully 40% of Packerdom abandoned him after his move to the Jets last year. I still see Packer fans wearing those "Temporary Jets fan" hats and Jets #4 uniforms. All over the place, actually. I know of several Packer fan friends who removed all pictures, memorabilia, etc. from their houses having to do with Favre after that betrayal. There was a chance that time would heal those wounds.....but now, if he joins the hated Vikings?? Now he's going to show up at Lambeau, throw a TD pass or two, celebrate like the ass that he has always been.......right in those fans' faces? Man that is just stupid. 20 years from now he might not be able to survive 10 minutes in that town. Is that really worth a solitary 11-5 season in Minny, for fans who face it don't give one damn about him beyond one shallow season's worth of football? Favre might be a great QB, but he's a moron. He can't see the forest for the trees. He's probably got the smallest amount of big-picture perspective I've ever seen in a human being.
  9. Right now he can't do that stuff, but you're talking about basically a kid.
  10. I don't know, Kane's been surprisingly effective in the playoffs. I don't think Toews is automatically the guy over him. Kane's got lots more potential to explore -- there's no telling where he winds up. Toews too, but I'm just saying, the end points aren't known yet with these guys. I think the Hawks find a way to keep them together for the long haul.
  11. I dunno....Angelo's comments sounded like a nice way of saying this to Davis: "You're just about finished here, so you either amaze us in TC or have a nice life."
  12. I can't see the Hawks letting Kane or Tazer go. Khabi? Havlat? Sharpie? Sure, but not the faces of the franchise. I'm not worried about that.
  13. LOL, this morning on the radio they played the Luongo post-game interview and played the goal horn over & over in the background. 7 GOALS, AGAINST LUONGO!! Hahahaha!
  14. THE GAME IS NIGH!! I don't think I've been this excited about a hockey game in my life!! Do NOT disappoint!!
  15. I like Brenly, but I've never thought he was the brightest bulb. If he's got to explain that stuff to you, perhaps it's just time to retire there, old Hawkaroo. And btw, nice work putting that into an avatar. DAGGUM RIGHT THIS GAME GUNNA BE PLAYED UNDER PROTEST! :-))
  16. I can personally vouch for Corey being a really nice guy -- at least on a fan level. I was at ST once, and he stood at a fence signing autograhps for an hour, in the Arizona heat. Other players were walking by urging him to leave, too. I don't expect a player to always sign for everyone, they have work to do. CPatt didn't have to do that. I thought it was very nice of him.
  17. Seems to me the Brewers are geniuses with Braun's contract: This means that even with arby he could be hitting 40+ homers per year for several years and still be making less than $10mil/yr in 2013 unless I'm missing something. I have to congratulate the Crew on that. I'm starting to hate Brauny, but I've got to give credit where it's due.
  18. Hope he's a good golfer because that's what he's going to be doing this weekend! http://www.advancedpower.ca/images/Golf-Canucks.jpg There's the other one floating around the internets.

  20. I'm looking for Hoff to straight up replace Lee's production at the plate, maybe more. I'm not going to accept a Lee injury hurting this ballclub. I haven't been very high on Derrek since the beginning of last season, that's a long time to now be upset that he's injured. We should be able to replace Lee's production, or else we aren't that good in the first place.
  21. Is Carroll a doctor? Because this statement seems a bit far-reaching for him unless he's got a medical degree and has treated this type of injury himself.
  22. DADGUMIT! I like when he goes off though. It's funny.
  23. Alright that's it, if Luongo's going to get lippy then he leaves me no choice: http://d.yimg.com/a/p/ap/20090510/capt.ae2aa4e45000477da83658763c5933b6.canucks_blackhawks_hockey_johv124.jpg
  24. I didn't hear that tirade, but the one last year where Hawk was going off for 5 minutes about where Cubs should be placed on the bases after a strange play was classic. I believe Len & Bob heard the continuing tirade from the adjacent booth, and kindly poked in to tell Hawk he was missing the rule that was being applied. I can't remember the specifics anymore, but it was pretty funny.
  25. LOL, yeah the picture of Luongo sprawled on the ice after giving up a goal is hilarious, too. I don't want to post too much of that stuff though, the series isn't over yet.
