Alright, with the absence of ELCABALLO for 24 hours and no word from him, I'll go ahead and make the Patriots' pick to move this thing along. With three second round picks, the Pats have plenty of opportunities to fill holes and get younger. They also aren't obligated to fill according to need primarily and can focus on getting the best player on the board. It just so happens, one of the best players left on the board also fills a need after the departure of Mike Vrabel and the age of Tedy Bruschi. So, with the 34th pick in the draft, the New England Patriots select LB from Ohio State, James Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis may well have been a fairly early first rounder had he come out last year and he's capable of playing both inside and outside. He's also a very smart football player, something the Pats seem to appreciate.
