  1. I would at that price. Even last year's Pudge was better than any season Bako's ever had. He's been on a serious decline since 2004, though.
  2. He's raw and needs a little development, but I like his potential quite a bit. I have PM'd Mark_R and Flames for Green Bay's pick.
  3. Also, the second of three late recruits has signed. He was also considering USC and Tennessee.
  4. Gotta love Bama, I guess.
  5. Oh yeah, he can still have value to the Bears as a 900-1200 yard per year guy. I would stay away from him, however.
  6. Max Unger, a center who can play guard, is probably better than all of them. I also don't think Beatty and Meredith are terrible reaches here. I like Meredith personally.
  7. TO has only had two seasons since 2003 where he's caught 1200+ yards - and one of those was right at 1200. Granted, a third finished at 1180, but that (and his 1300 yard season) was with Tony Romo throwing the ball and numerous weapons around him. He's turning 36 this year and I question how much he'll drop off in the near future - especially if he's a team's only real weapon and he has a less-than-stellar QB throwing him the ball.
  8. I was wondering when he'd go. Raisin has been PMd for the Jaguars' pick.
  9. Not a problem, mhuber. Cincinnati is now on the clock and I have PMd Rocket.
  10. The most notable hitters he faced were Randall Simon and Eugene Kingsale. So yes, he faced hitters who hit above A ball (both have been major leaguers for multiple years), but the lineup was very, very far from formidable. That said, if we could get Pedro cheap, I wouldn't mind it. I like the idea of taking a chance on old vets (or young former prospects) and seeing if they can recapture what they once had. It'd have to be really cheap though.
  11. Well at least we got a solid LB out of it. Wait... Yeah, that's pretty terrible that the 49ers apparently tampered and still didn't sign Briggs.
  12. The Titans are looking for evidence of the Redskins tampering with Albert Haynesworth prior to signing him.
  13. Just to make OMC drool a little, Drew Brees is fantasizing about LT turning down the Chargers' offer and signing with the Saints.
  14. As per reggiemiller rules' instructions, with the 35th pick in the draft, the St. Louis Rams select WR from North Carolina, Hakeem Nicks. Mike Aller and the Cleveland Browns are now on the clock. I will PM him.
  15. Alright, with the absence of ELCABALLO for 24 hours and no word from him, I'll go ahead and make the Patriots' pick to move this thing along. With three second round picks, the Pats have plenty of opportunities to fill holes and get younger. They also aren't obligated to fill according to need primarily and can focus on getting the best player on the board. It just so happens, one of the best players left on the board also fills a need after the departure of Mike Vrabel and the age of Tedy Bruschi. So, with the 34th pick in the draft, the New England Patriots select LB from Ohio State, James Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis may well have been a fairly early first rounder had he come out last year and he's capable of playing both inside and outside. He's also a very smart football player, something the Pats seem to appreciate.
  16. TO Lee Evans Josh Reed James Hardy Nice receiving corps right there. And just a one-year deal for TO should ensure that he acts as nice as he can.
  17. That's a good point. I've updated the draft order and PM'd ELCABALLO45. Thanks raw and CCP. That trade completely slipped my mind when I was filling out the second round.
  18. Not a problem Skyballer. We'll have to start discussing the first second round pick here pretty soon.
  19. Bumping this back up to the top. I'll be gone for a couple of hours, so if a a few picks are made in succession, I'll update when I get back.
  20. Well, 12 hours (roughly) have passed since Flames announced his intention and still no word from CFNBM, so with the potential that he's away from his computer for a while, the best course of action is probably to move along with the draft. The Cardinals and Steelers' picks have been recorded and the first round is now complete. The final selections for the first round are on the first page in spoiler tags. The second round is now underway and the order is posted in the first post of the thread. Cro Magnon and Detroit are now on the clock for the 33rd pick of the draft. I have PMd him.
  21. Shocker of all shockers: Apparently the Raiders are not interested in Terrell Owens.
  22. Judging by your location...Coffman fan? Very much so. But even leaving Coffman aside, Pettigrew is essentially a guard with good hands. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but it seems to me that there's lots of guys around who can do the same thing. I'd want a TE that can go get the ball in the red zone if you're taking one that high. One of the steals of the draft could be a player like that. UF TE Cornelius Ingram is very athletic, but his injury is knocking him down quite a bit. HE didn't help himself at the combine either, so he's a 5th rounder right now, but give him a couple years and he could be a real good TE. I wouldn't be surprised if his problems at the combine were related to the ACL that kept him out. He's extremely talented, either way.

  24. It could mean the end of life as we know it if we jump the gun on this. Just think about that Cro Magnon.
  25. Character issues and not a lot of need at TE is hurting him right now, I think. I like him and Jared Cook a decent amount, though. I like both of those guys too. I just don't need a TE in round 2 and Pettigrew's at the top of my board. I was looking at TEs until the Titans franchised Bo Scaife. Now, unless I can get a steal I'm not investing a pick in a fourth TE, certainly behind Alge Crumpler and Scaife. I think Pettigrew will be a steal by the time he gets to you again...but I doubt he does. When are we finishing the first round? I'm having fun crossing names off my big board (and realizing how lame that sounds). It's not lame at all, I'm already figuring up who I think might fall to the Titans in the second and third round. And we'll finish the second round as soon as Flames is comfortable announcing his pick as final (or until he runs out of time, but hopefully it won't take that long).
