    I think they'll be alright. Half a season left. Just gotta have some cogs pop into place and then watch the machine hum itself back into the front-runner this team should be. Starters not sucking would be a good first step. Schwarbs hitting would be a good second step. I have some amount of confidence that both those things will happen in the back half of the season.

    Happ seems like he goes on hot streaks quite regularly. Wasn't he just stupidly good for a month or so in the minors last year? And then again this year when he and Jeimer were hitting 10 XBH's a game for a 2-3 week span in Iowa? Not complaining just remarking.

    Eh, if they never do meet in the SCF then they'll be looked back on as "the teams of the decade" plural rather than singular. Unless one of them just rattles off several Cups before their current prime guys start getting phased out.

    The dodgers are playing like complete dogshit right now against the cardinals.

    Indeed, that game was less fun to watch for me than the Cubs are right now. 0 shots in 37 minutes starting at the end of the 1st period for the Pens. Then they get 2 shots off late in the 3rd (1 on an empty net) and score 2 goals. Nashville's opening goal being overturned, Bonino's fluke deflection for goal #3, just so much dependency on luck. Hopefully they play more like they did for the final 10 minutes of the 1st, and less like they did for the other 50 minutes where they got shellacked. I don't think they'll play that poorly again, but if they do, the Predators should run away with this.
