I see how my tv box comment could be seen as me interacting with technology like my grandma, who pushes her touch screen on her phone really hard to try and make it do what she wants. But it isn't the main xfinity box in the house, it's a secondary one. And it hadn't been working, as I discovered today it was due to a faulty box on the second tv. Got a new one, and voila, the tv box works now.
