It's pretty indicative of just how refined a hitter Rizzo is that he can maintain MVP caliber numbers everywhere else while only hitting one HR in an entire month. He's so good.

What a series opener. I might be biased here (definitely am), but the Cubs played better than the Pirates that entire game and I think the Pirates were lucky to have it go as long as it did. When the camera panned over the Pirates' dugout after the win, the collective downtrodden, indignant look coming from those poor saps tickled me fancy. The whole leading the league in hit batsmen but also crying foul play anytime their guys get hit is pretty obnoxious.
