  1. I've been to Nats park several times. It's pretty decent. Good place to catch a game, and I will be there if this series goes to 5. Not much to write home about, but Nats park is an alright place to catch a baseball game. I do like how almost all the fans have to leave down the same 4-5 lane street to leave or enter the park. It's a cool place to hear fans for either side playing that day going at it.
  2. Yo the cardinals have got to be paying for the name changing fees on these dudes names in like single-A, right? Good "wild west boy" names for their entire pen, sherriff and duke and the whole St. Louis posse. I find it to be a pretty amusing, astonishing even, coincidence.
  3. Meh, that was actually a pretty good read imo.
  4. I mean great coaching, constantly pulling in the best recruits, and returning 75% of your championship caliber roster means the real blue bloods don't lurk far below the top 10 for long, but it's still rare to see any of them go back to back. Except for Bama being Bama, it hasn't happened much in recent years.
  5. I'm on my phone so I can't see the options, but I'd vote college football if I could. It's almost guaranteed that you're gonna lose 25%-35% of your team between years. You can barely afford to lose a single game throughout the season if you want to stand a chance to make the playoff. Lose two and you can kiss any chance to repeat goodbye. And as was mentioned before, football being a contact sport means injuries galore.
  6. I'd agree that it is overall a negative, and I only listen to the podcast once or twice a month, but it also lets me rationalize laughing at some of their antics.
  7. Big cat definitely cares about the cubs and Chicago sports in general though. He's kind of the sane one between the two on Pardon my Take. (Which is a podcast that big cat and a guy named PFT Commenter put out 3ish times a week).
  8. I actually kinda like Pardon my Take, but I totally get why a lot of people wouldn't. They're basically douchey bros about any and everything regarding sports. I find some of their stuff funny still, but the hate is understandable. It's all an act though, they're never more than 20% serious about any of the horsefeathers they say.
  9. I have both sheetz and wawa available to me. Gotta love the mid Atlantic region. Sheetz is a better version of wawa all-around, but wawa does have bitchin sandwiches.
  10. Sheetz food is actually pretty solid. I know, gas station food is something to be leery of, but they have a whole kitchen setup. Its not just roller grill hot dogs. Their mozzarella sticks are pretty good, and I think it's kind of their signature thing. You can get hot sandwiches, subs, cold subs, breakfast food, basically any sort of fried finger food. It is as good as any fast food place in my opinion, and comparable price-wise to anything except for dollar menu items.
  11. If you're gonna get that tattoo you might as well get a tiny functioning compass implanted in the middle.
  12. I'm starting to really like Happ. Dude is good af.
  13. Javy threw the ball at 89mph while coming up after his dive last night. Dude is just a freak
  14. It'll never go away. You think there isn't meatballery going on in the Yankees/Patriots fan circles?
  15. Auburn would probably welcome any kind of new deal, regardless of how sinister or shortsighted it may be, if it meant they could somehow run Saban out of Tuscaloosa.
  16. [tweet] [/tweet] edit: wowza did not realize this had sound to it. I JUST LIKED THE PITCH.
  17. This guy just seems like he is all about the highest bidder and/or "what can you do for me?" Him as the keystone seems like pretty tenuous footing to make allegations and launch investigations on. But it's ncaa, so they obviously can't be bothered to give a horsefeathers about doing things the right way.
  18. Man, how could arrieta ever have sucked? His stuff just horsefeathering zips around the zone so much I don't understand how anyone could ever have had the upper hand on him.
  19. Kyle looks very good today. And he is definitely my favorite SP. Can't slot him in front of Carls Jr as favorite pitcher though.
  20. Harper has no ligament damage and suffered only a severe bone bruise. Nationals confident he returns this season. I dunno how that's possible, given the way his leg bent, but good for him if that really is the extent of the injury.
  21. Bonus points for doubling down after someone calls your joke a dick move. You lose points because the joke is a dick move, however.
