    I live in Maryland so I get all of the MASN Nationals and Orioles games. I actually like what the Nats guys have to say a lot of the time, they're fairly knowledgable but their "excitement calls" feel pretty fabricated and forced. Orioles are alright. Just seems like bunch of old dudes bitching about baseball when I catch their broadcast (which is, inexplicably, almost always their post game which straight up is 2 old white haired dudes being crotchety about baseball).

    Championship window, sure. Lol would it be better for you if they had beaten the Dodgers last year in the NLCS and then lost in the WS? Being one of the final four teams left is a pretty stellar season in and of itself. Before 2016 happened, were you telling yourself "If we don't win 3 World Series in the next 7 years it's all for naught"? The Cubs, THESE CUBS, won a World Series. Everything else is horsefeathering gravy.

    What was that second pitch to Winker? 89mph change? Either way, good job getting out of it again. Let's try not getting into it next inning. edit: Gameday called it a cutter. Seemed to drop more than anything else, but what do I know?

    It's also pretty cold, so that might be having some effect on Chatwood's velocity.

    I didn't think I would be needed to start one of these until at least the ASB (I mean come on, I was the THIRD NAME on the list), but the fish flopped a little more than expected. Oh well.. This time we get to see a battle of Tylers. Our good Tyler who is going to help us continue using the Reds as the NL Central whipping boys: who kinda looks like a nicer, gentler Arrieta. vs. the Reds' bad Tyler: who kinda looks like he is a sophomore in high school. The Cubs are gonna sweep this series methinks.

    You don't understand, Ohtani had the gall to spurn the best team in baseball. They're just flabbergasted and struggling to express it. The only possible reason he would pick another team has to be due to the DH. Nobody in their right mind would choose not to play for the Doyers.

    It's a question, the current answer is neither. But if they went head to head for a series that gave one them their 4th of the era it could change the answer, no?

    Yeah the pens have been a pretty inconsistent team this season too. They seem to have figured some things out since the all-star break though. Been scoring a lot of goals and winning more. They were like 5th or 6th in the Metropolitan a week or two ago and now they're 2nd. Still really wanna see a Penguins-Blackhawks Stanley Cup Final. To settle once and for all which team is the true dynasty of the decade.

    I'm biased, but I think that Crosby-Malkin-Letang is a better core to build around than Toews-Kane-Keith/Seabrook. I've never been very high on Toews though. I think it would take an unbelievable overhaul to get another Cup in this window for the Hawks.

    How stupid would it be if the only reason he hasn't just signed with the cubs yet is that he is waiting to meet with the twins, who apparently are the toughest people on the planet to schedule a meeting with.
