  1. Forums mean as much as stuff written in a men's bathroom stall. If some one legit comes out and reports this, then we'll talk.
  2. I'm curious to see if this deal is true. If it is, I'd like to see what prospects they gave up to get Huff. Given Lamar's demands for prospects, I would be surprised if the deal was equivalent to Gerut + Marshall + Hill for Huff on the Cubs end.
  3. One more question Bo! :D What have you thought about Juan Mateo so far? He's posted some pretty nice numbers this season and seems to have been on a bit of a hot streak as of late. What kind of stuff does he have and how does he projects in the majors?
  4. Well, that's about it for me today. Later dudes.
  5. Not like his platoon buddy is helping much...
  6. It'd be like today when Murton has gotten on base. Instead of Jerome Williams attempting to bunt him over or flail at a bad pitch, you have an actual major league hitter up there who can attempt to drive him in.
  7. Cubs lead by 22 runs this season. They also have a BA that is .018 above the D-backs and a SLG that is .038 above. The D-Backs have a slight (.002) advantage in OBP. I'd say the Cubs offense is better. You know what I don't get? We are ahead of the White Sox in OBP, SLG, and BA, but they have seriously outscored us. What's up with that? Pitching. I dont think their pitching has caused them to outscore us. The DH is also a helpful tool in that regard.
  8. Oh dear Lord, this is unbearable commentating.
  9. I'm having flashbacks to that Jason Jennings game. Yuck.
  10. I say we get some of his old slumpbuster friends together and send them up to the booth to keep him occupied.
  11. Just a reminder, for those of you who are interested in the minors. We're doing a Q&A with Daytona Cubs broadcaster Bo Fulginiti in the minor league forum. Please head over there when you can to ask him questions about the Daytona Cubs! Nice K!
  12. Uh oh. Len & Bob will be joining tHom and Grace in the 6th. This should be fun.
  13. Did the Diamondbacks start Casey Daigle without telling anyone?
  14. But...but...but...he's THE ADMIRAL!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I can see where you're coming from on that, but I'll take a guy who can keep a rally going via a walk or a hit rather than just a hit.
  16. Blues. Halsey's getting lots of broken bats. The Cubs are hitting him and getting runners in scoring position, but he's getting outs when he needs them.
  17. That's Jerome Williams to a tee. He's almost always good for that.
  18. Considering his OBPRISP is well above .400 and the number of strikeouts he gets, he's not the kind of guy to kill a rally with a double play. I'll take him any day of the week, thanks.
  19. Williams is looking like he'll pitch well enough to keep the Cubs in the game, but not well enough to slam the door on the Diamondbacks. So, the usual.
