  1. Gotta love those classic three true outcome hitters. BELISLE UP IN THE PEN! YAY!
  2. Whoever suggested that Prior should bat 7th in front of Neifi and Blanco may have been on to something.
  3. At what position? I would guess CF. How much CF has Gerut played since his knee injury?
  4. Blanco calls a lot of breaking stuff and works that outside corner quite a bit, doesn't he?
  5. You're not the only one. For some reason that incredible guitar solo at the end of November Rain by Guns N' Roses popped into my head upon reading this. Nothing lasts forever, even cold november rain... I always liked Estranged better. 14 Years was played non-stop in 2003 after the Cubs won the NL Central.
  6. Carlos Lee is now tied for the RBI lead. :D
  7. Shackleford? That is an AWESOME name.
  8. Pena shows off his arm and it gives Todd Walker second base with ease.
  9. Sometimes, guys just have a pitcher's number, no matter how bad they might be. Enrique Wilson, for example, was Pedro Martinez's kryptonite for a LONG time.
  10. Lee is really good at turning those 3-6-3 DPs, isn't he?
  11. Hey, that's gimmick infringement! Yeah ?? So sue me already !! :P
  12. Mark's not getting anything near the corners and his stuff isn't all that great tonight. I'm not looking forward to seeing how this game ends.
  13. I posted an idea similar to this on that "2006 lineup" thread. Clearly, I would like to see Nixon in Cubbie blue. :D

  15. Thanks a ton for this guys! I look forward to more of these in the future. :D
  16. How about the White Sox unis back in the 70s with the shorts?
  17. Uh oh. Dubois isn't going to be used as a right handed DH, since Hafner's hitting lefties pretty well this season. He'll probably be used to hit lefties since Crisp has been pitiful against them. Dubois might well see plenty of playing time in LF for Cleveland. This could be fun.
  18. There's still a possibility that trade could end up being a bust for bust trade. Minor league performances are awesome and everything, but, you gotta go with ML performance to evaluate trades.
