23 of his 30 hits have been for extra bases this year (11 HRs, 1 3B, 11 2Bs). In translation, that means a little over 75% of his hits have gone for extra bases this year. Let's stretch this out for a full season and improve his average. Assume he takes 552 ABs and posts a .333 AVG. This would translate to 184 hits. Of those 184 hits, 138 of them would be for extra bases. Considering he likes to hit with equality and triples rarely, he could post something like 67 2Bs, 4 3Bs, and 67 HRs...or something thereabouts. That's...that's just wrong.

Eh, I remember last year when Hollandsworth was our best baserunner. He didn't seem to be the fastest guy on the field, but he was very instinctive and aware. He took an extra base every now and again because he exploited other teams' defenses pretty well. That and I'd have to believe he's faster than Macias, Blanco, or even Dubois.

See, I'm not nearly as trained at spotting fouls as I am penalties in football and the strike zone in baseball. However, even I can see that this game has been so poorly officiated with some incredulous dumb calls. Where does the NBA find these idiots?

Soft tossing lefty who was drafted as a senior out of college left year. He doesn't throw very hard, but considering he throws with his left hand, he could find himself as a journeyman reliever down the line.

So do the Cubs. It's fun looking at Sheets' game log against the Cubs last season. Prior to 2004, Sheets used to completely own the Cubs. However, last season, the Cubs gradually figured him out because they faced him so much over a short period of time. Jul. 5th: 7 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 12 K, 1 BB, W Jul. 17th: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 8 K, 1 BB, 2 HR, L Jul. 27th: 7 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 8 K, 0 BB, 2 HR, L Aug. 18th: 7 IP, 9 H, 5 ER, 8 K, 0 BB, HR, ND Aug. 23rd: 6 IP, 10 H, 6 ER, 5 K, 1 BB, L The July 5th game was particularly painful because Clement threw one mistake pitch in that entire [expletive] game and the Cubs ended up losing 1-0. I'm still bitter over that one. But the rest? Mwahahahahahaha.
