  1. I can't wait for the team to start using the "We've just faced hot pitching!" excuse.
  2. Details on the squirrel? I enjoyed the one that interrupted the Indians/Yankees game last year.
  3. Yankees/Red Sox is on ESPN if anyone can stand the ballwashing. My predictions: -Spurs -Suns -A's -Bears pick up a veteran TE and some OL help -Bulls get #2 overall and take Tyrus Thomas with the lottery pick.
  4. While I concur, when's the last time Dusty even took the toothpick out if his mouth and his ass off the bench? I believe when the lineup screwup happened.
  5. CF Matt Ciaramella is what the Cub got for JVB. He's roster fodder down in Peoria at the moment.
  6. Meanwhile, the Greatest Yankees Pitching Prospect Ever is down 4-1 against the Red Sox.
  7. CR, my subscription ran out. What's the synopsis? Comparison between Scott Moore & Jame D'Antona of the D'backs. -Both strike out a lot. -Both aren't particularly quick or agile. -Moore is using all fields and taking pitches well. -Moore's made progress around 3B, but he likely will end up league-average defensively. He might stick there down the line, but a move isn't out of the question.
  8. I went to New Comiskey years ago, before the renovations and name change...in the upper deck. That was not a fun experience. It's managed to get some more character to it in recent years (scoreboard, random plants in CF, ridiculously short fences) and isn't as bad as some of the others. Fenway sucks. Cramped seats that face the OF are always fun times.
  9. I never did find a box of Flutie Flakes. :(
  10. Pedroia and Duncan have sucked over the past two years, why the heck would you want them?
  11. Tough call since I haven't done a whole lot of reading on either or seen either of them play yet.

  13. International scouting; I believe Venezuela. He's skinny and raw, but has nice defensive instincts and has been making pretty good contact. The Cubs are going to take as much time as possible with him, considering his age and how raw he is. He might be a good one down the road, though.
  14. As bad as Mabry is, I really don't want to see more Neifi or Freddy.
  15. ES LIMA TIME BABY!
  16. It was an absolutely boneheaded and wrong move, but if he's matured and grown up since then, I'd have no problem with him in the rotation or bullpen.
  17. I'll laugh if Juan goes hitless against Nolasco. And then I'll cry.
  18. From awful to mediocre! SKY'S THE LIMIT, BABY!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! I can't wait for them to finish 80-82. Glad-handing and extensions all around!
  19. Zambrano did decently, all things considered. It wasn't a quality start and he made some bonehead pitches, but compared to some of our other illustrious pitchers in this series, he did okay. Given their pitiful performance today, the offense is much more to blame.
  20. Gene Clines fixed it. Hitters don't need balls, dude.
  21. I've heard about that, but I don't believe he works in that range on a regular basis.
  22. So, who else is looking forward to everyone blaming for Zambrano for this loss because he "pitched like crap"?
